If there’s half left the next day, it wasn’t any good to begin with.

Yes, and they tasted like rat's bunghole so I stopped. Figured that out after trying to save a Zino Mouton-Cadet in 1994. Can't blame me--those were like $9 cigars back then!

Close, but no cigar. I did worse. 😥 Way back when I first started, Had a tubo pyramide. Thought I was smart. Purged the hell out of it. Clipped the dead cherry. Stuck it in the tubo and into

I laughed at this. My wife’s now 102 year old grandmother sits around all day in DR playing Domino and smoking cigars. She is quite the piece of work. Early on in our relationship I gave Abuela a CCE and she promptly cut it in half with a pair of scissors and lit half up. Needless to say I’ve evolved my gifting over the years.

Absolutely, but it can be hit and miss. I think it's key that you clip it immediately after the first session though. Nothing smells worse than stale / damp partially burned tobacco. I've also generally found that it works best if you can leave it outside in good weather conditions.

A few years ago I was smoking one of the best cigars I'd ever had, but I didn't have time to finish it. I clipped it, left it in the armrest of my lawn chair, and relit it the next day. Amazingly it was just as good as the night before.

I for sure have, but it depends on the size of the cigar mostly.  I need to have been interrupted pretty early in the smoke, so there is enough left to snip off the nasty bit while having some left to smoke.  I don't nub cigars very often, so it needs to be something like a Churchill or lancero usually for me to be able to relight it.

Back in my early days, I had just lit up at a bar and was promptly told no cigars even though cigarette smokers were allowed.

I had to put out the said cigar and i didnt know at the time the error but i put it back in my portable humidor.

The stench it left in my portable was horrid and when i tried to smoke it again the next day it was pretty bad but still smokeable as I guess i only just lit it and put it out.

I was told i should have snipped a lot more of it off and potentially could have saved it.  I didn't want to waste a basically brand new stick and I'm sure i would do the same again!
