Partagas had that giant vitola I can't think of the name of...and there was one on display (selling it actually) last week at the Habanos trade fair. About 18 inches long.

Same exhibitor had something I was thinking about buying: an original 1930s-1940s set of Partagas Serie A, B, C and D bands.

Drew Estates had a special release for the rocky mountain cigar fest about 8 years back. About an 18 inch lancero in 2 packs. Smoked really well

Visible Inmenso

Yes, Visible. I kept thinking "Cristal" because Visible is like "clear". The tube is plastic I believe. Just saw one last Monday.

I was fortunate enough to be down on Safari with the CATs group when that was birthed.  John Krump had gifted JD (Jonathan Drew) a German wooden cigar mold because he knew that he was into tobacco history and what not. JD turned around and had cigars made on that trip with the mold and everyone in attendance was given one.

If I remember right it was a 13-1/2" by 38 sized Liga blend. Smoked it with John at CATs Fest in 2014

Yessir, I recall that being the story as well bur couldn't source any corroborating details. I thought they were great and I would have bought more if they were on offer.

The releases they did for events were called the Liga Manifestos and there were a more manageable 11x40.

Manifesto – Rocky's Cigars

Then later they got shortened to a 9x40 and I can't recall the name.

Reminds me of a Graycliff cigar I was once gifted.  It was called the Big Bamboo.  It was a giant Pyramid with a shaggy foot.

I recently got a 9x50 Alfonso Añejo and nearly put my eye out. Any bigger and I’d need a helmet!

Visible Inmenso is the name you're looking for. There was also a La Corona version and possibly others.

It is not a small cigar!

I believe this was made for King Farouq of Egypt. they come in a coffin and it takes around 8 hours to smoke the whole thing.

Supposedly smoked in a hookah setup, which makes more sense - share with a few friends.

I have posted photos of mine here enough that it would be spam to post them again.

my largest cigar is the:

Not presently smokeable, but would you really want to anyway?

Have heard this rumour many times over the years but I've never seen any evidence to corroborate it.

They are on a list of Partagas factory vitolas from 1962, so they were at least something that was available to be ordered by anyone. They also turn up all over the world, and don't have a vanity band. If Farouq had anything to do with them, then I'd say he was at best the person who originally commissioned the size or just a frequent orderer of them.

I've spoken with a few people who have smoked one, and all agree that they smoke like garbage. Very mild for the first ten inches or so, then very bitter once the tar really starts to build up.

I think basically it's a novelty intended mostly for display in shop windows.

I could imagine most if not all of these are likely victims of poor storage conditions. Doesn't fit in many humidors...
