LCDH Customs EL Lancero review

Hi everyone. I've had my eye on LCDHC since they were AOC, and finally made some orders recently. The cigars showed up 2 days after I placed the order and were packed with care. When I unpacked the cigars for my humidor they stunk to high heaven like cow shit and glorious tobacco. After resting them for about 4 weeks the barnyard aroma tamed quite a bit and settled into something closer to powdered sugar.

I couldn't wait any longer and decided to give one a shot this morning. It was beautifully constructed with a matte and vein-free wrapper. When I kicked off the first third, I was immediately hit with a sweet hay/honey flavor, similar to great CoRo's I've had, but without the citrus. Over the course of the second and final thirds, the honey stayed, but notes that reminded me of an Upmann Connie 1 and Mag 50 would come in and out.

Glorious cigar-- probably my favorite in the past 5-6 months. I'm really looking forward to trying out some Pyramides Extras and Novedosos that are currently resting.
