Popular Post saltbox Posted March 3, 2023 Popular Post Posted March 3, 2023 This one is a cigar I've only had 1-2 year old samples of and I was suddenly reminded that I had an older box buried somewhere in the back, so I dug it out to try one with a bit more age. Pre light: aroma cream, caramel, touch of chocolate from the wrapper. On the cold draw, it's straight chocolate pudding. First third: Opens with a deep dark cocoa powder and an oaky woodiness. The dark chocolate is quite earthy, a bit reminiscent of San Andres maduro wrappers though not nearly as earthy/dirty. Towards the end of the first third, there's a touch of saltiness on my lips. Middle third: the dark chocolate slowly starts to take a backseat and the woodiness becomes more intense. The saltiness picks up strength as a touch of caramel sweetness starts to appear. Last third: the caramel and saltiness really pick up, taking over the profile on top of some woodiness and a touch of baking spices through to the end. Overall: impressed with how much of a difference a couple years of age seems to have made when comparing this to my younger box. Way more flavor here, which I'm very happy with. 88/100 5

RDB Posted March 5, 2023 Posted March 5, 2023 I don’t think that’s quite long enough for a pyramide? So SP Beli. 1

cgoodrich Posted March 6, 2023 Posted March 6, 2023 The saltiness makes me think SP Belicoso. Never had a MC2 have saltiness.
saltbox Posted March 7, 2023 Author Posted March 7, 2023 It was a Sancho Panza Belicoso! Box code was ATE OCT 18, and it had a good amount more flavor than the younger samples I've had out of a RAT NOV 20 box previously. 2
