Smoking on the balcony in a non smoking hotel room?

I can never enjoy a cigar when I’m watching my smoke like a hawk so I usually camp out in the parking lot or park during the day. Went to Miami end of last year for recurrent training (work) and was like a different planet. I lit up outside and the shuttle driver walked me to the outdoor area near the pool and told me to smoke there. Nice.
