DC Dinner spots?

Unrelated to the cigar discussions, but related to the best 30 days food thread I am creating this. Gonna be in the District for work through Friday. Any of the FOh'ers here have any good recommendations for dinner when I'm there? Plan on going to Shelly's or Casa de Montecristo at least one of the nights I am there as well (not for food, just for cigars). Appreciate any suggestions!

Rasika, either location. The best Indian food.  Fantastic. Get the fried spinach. A landmark. I try to go in most trips to DC.

Jack Rose Dining Saloon. Insane selection of whiskies. Great food. Off the beaten paths, but really awesome, imo.

I do like there. They have a sister restaurant next door that I also enjoyed

The palak chaat is so good. I only had it once, but now I wish I could find something similar where I live.

Absolutely not.  Owner is dickhead.  Lived there for 7 years.

DC has by far one of the best metro systems.  Philly's metro is garbage.  

I've lived in DC for almost 30 years and the metro is kinda embarrassing if I'm being completely honest.  

Yeah, it could be WAY worse, but it should be massively better.
