While on vacation in London I stopped at the Davidoff shop and picked up a ST Dupont Maxijet cigar cutter.   A Dupont lighter was beyond my reach but a nice cutter would be a good reminder of a very nice trip.   The cutter is dual bladed and works by bringing both sides together.  The sides ride on two round supports and the entire cutter feels heavy and well made.  I typically use it with a cigar facing down and cupping the cutter in my palm.  I then bring my fingers towards my wrist and the cutter closes.

pros: sharp cutter that does it’s job well.   The chrome finish is clean and the whole thing presents well. Very smooth blade action

cons:  the ST Dupont writing is only printed onto the cutter, not engraved so it is already wearing off   I suppose I could remove it and have it engraved  in the space .   Made in China   I did not see that and assumed it was made, or at least assembled, in France for the price.

Overall I enjoy the cutter due to its visual appeal, clean cut and a reminder of my first time in London.  Like most things cigars, I find the memories and enjoyment I have had is brought up again when I use this cutter.

My buddy has one and I have used it numerous times.  It has always delivered an exceptional cut for me! However, I know others who wouldn't use it to cut air. Hope you enjoy!
