I know, I have been mystified for 20 years. I've had fresh and I've had 5 year old ones. Same result. Maybe I need a 10-year old one. But then again, it doesn't explain why 20-22 are the best I've had...

D4 and RASS are tops for me. Epi#2 and JL2 are an extremely close tie for 3rd, for me.

Haven’t been quick enough on the draw to be able to acquire any of the others and the ones I have had are aged examples.

Have to say I love RASS. Had a 2018 from a beautiful box a few days ago and it was a perfect smoke. Hit all the traditional RA flavor profile notes and added some on: lots of toasted honey and an almost marzipan-like sweetness. The newer ones are terrific in a different way. Still near the top for me though.

May I ask which 2022 box codes for the epi2 are we referring to as exceptional?

im a fan of epi2 but i find the flavor profile so inconsistent and still looking for this clovish /cinnamonish profile instead of the sandalwood in the epi2 you know..
