What is the best Robusto today? 21/22

I was swapping texts with Mus who was extolling the virtues of 2022 HDM Epicure 2. I agreed with him. The Epi 2 (of 22) almost across the board are exceptional. I have to go back to the mid 90's to remeber a flavour profile as rich. 

Quick poll on 21/22 Robusto's only which will limit the number of respondents I know.  I will only list those that were regularly available during this time.

CoRO and PSD4's are hard to beat when they are on at the moment. 

Besides the RYJ i like them all though. Robusto is my favorite vitola.

I think, for my taste, Epi 2 and D4 are far and away the best robustos. 3rd is probably RASS, 4th BRC, with 5th going to the short churchill.

My palate doesn't agree with the JL1 flavor profile, and my wallet doesn't agree with CoRO prices.

I know it's an Hermoso No.4 (basically a robusto) but the ERDM Choix Supreme is up there as well !!

I’m not much of a Robusto fan because I think they require a fair amount of time to develop and smooth out. So newer Robustos are not in my wheelhouse. Best I’ve had that are 5+ years old are D4 and BRC.  My 2018 Rass are starting to make me a believer too, which I never thought would happen.

i know it's cool to be anti-cohiba, but I've never followed trends. 

put them all in front of me I'm taking the Cohiba 100% of the time.

Would have voted famosos if it was an option.  But I haven't had any 21/22 (or 2020) cigars yet so my opinion doesn't count anyhow.  Have plenty of 2021/22 boxes to eventually get to, so much older stuff to get to first.  First world problems.

Would have loved to have included it but it just wasn't available to the same extent of the others. What was rolled was excellent however.

The HdM E2 21 50 cab I recently finished smoking was an absolute stunner. One of those you want to test and don’t stop reaching for. Have not replaced it yet unfortunately.

Including H4s changes the calculation. I would put the Famosos and Connie 1 at spots 1 & 2. Just a heads up however that the 22 Famosos I've had so far are not quite as good as the 19-21s. Connie 1 gets the top spot for me (although if we can also include the Connie 2  that would be #1 no question.)

Connie 2 are the absolute bomb ..just amazing

Cohiba by a street length. Really hard pressed for second. Bolivar RC I just dont know why I dont buy more 21 and early 22 sensational ! . Second just .
