Miguel Gracias Posted February 23, 2023 Posted February 23, 2023 I ordered new rg several boxes, and i got couple singles of original lonsdales from spain. I will compare them once they arrive in my mailbox.
Popular Post alex1126 Posted March 23, 2023 Popular Post Posted March 23, 2023 Just tried one today ROTT, straight away nice flavors with no bitterness. Creamy and nutty in the first third and then transitions into a nice bready type note in the second third, hints of floral throughout. Last third the strength picks up considerably and gave me a little head buzz towards the end. Needs a little time in the humidifier to balance out a bit. Very happy with my purchase and highly recommend this one. 3 3

NSXCIGAR Posted April 27, 2023 Posted April 27, 2023 Tijuana got a few boxes but apparently all of them had mold and they're sending them back to IEPT. They've been sitting there for 4 weeks now so I'm going to ask again if I can just buy one. I'll wipe 'em off. Zero CdL found in Cuba over the weekend. Didn't see any Turquinos or RA 3 either. A very few boxes of Wide Edmundo were kicking around but I had to ask hard. 2 1
NSXCIGAR Posted June 1, 2023 Posted June 1, 2023 Finally tracked some down in Cuba. Just smoked my first. Verdict: hmm... These are going to need A LOT of time plain and simple. As many RG do. The first cm was awful. I almost pitched it. A bit of fireproof wrapper as well. Then it came alive a bit. Definitely more like the PC than the Perlas. Typical RG character but just underdeveloped. The fireproof wrapper continued so I chucked it at halfway. $6, oh well. Bottom line if you're an RG fan you may like them but these should not be smoked for at least a couple years and I don't think 5 would be unreasonable. They just don't do enough for me to want buy them again and certainly not enough to sit on them for years. 1

yadegari6 Posted June 2, 2023 Posted June 2, 2023 I had a single in Switzerland last month and agree with these needing age. Honestly was the worst cigar I had while in Europe 1
westg Posted June 2, 2023 Posted June 2, 2023 I actually dont mind them . Now RG for me in any format are not for aging .Just an anytime smoke, work , yard fishing etc and never expect too much from them . These wrappers were gorgeous...for me almost like Petit Edmundo. 1

Also I could just tell my box just wasn't rolled by the best. Maybe I just got a bad one. But I was certainly hoping they'd be more like the Perlas and not the PC. They'd have had me if it was a giant Perlas. Definitely a cigar I can live without. The Galanes and Short de Punch are much more on the money.
Ford2112 Posted June 2, 2023 Posted June 2, 2023 Too bad to hear this,I was jazzed for these. I was hoping for a big brother to the Perla.
SMELTZ Posted June 2, 2023 Posted June 2, 2023 I have two boxes of these one is light and other box looks like they were wrapped in a very oily Maduro. The darker ones are sublime. 3
