For people who miss coronas and lonsdales, we give you what you've all been waiting for...   A robusto.    Next week tune in for HSA's solution for those who miss classic muscle ca

One thing I can say at least, without having sampled one naturally, is that the vitola is a Hermanos No.4. This should prove quite agreeable with those stalwarts of our hobby who already approve of ot

Have high hopes for these. Can't wait to see what they can do with a larger format RG blend.

It's been a while since a misstep in these new releases (excluding the LFDC Elegidos which had no chance with short filler).

And at $6 would be by far the best value in CCs (assuming they're not crap).

Market research guy: You know those cigars we've spent the last two decades making extinct - the Corona and the Lonsdale.

Habanos: Yeah..?

MRG: Well, polling shows they're actually quite highly regarded.

Habanos: Leave it with us.....

Looking forward to the next release: Perlas de Tacos--Piramides vitola.

To be fair, RG has a special relationship with "Lonsdale". It is more than a common vitola name for RG--it's a man who really brought notoriety to the brand. Lonsdale is only used in reference to a certain size because of RG and Lord Lonsdale.

Long filler at $6 a pop and I'm buying CCs again, but you can't even get a perlas for that price, so I'm skeptical.

They also underpriced the new QdOs as well on release. For some reason it seems like HSA has a bizarre notion that some brands are in some way inferior or worth less than others. So the Punch SdP should be priced twice as high as RG and QdO? Because Punch is just so inherently great?

The ER program should have ended that idea. There have been highly sought after cigars in every marca. Put out a good cigar and people will find it and pay for it.

Although if they want to price the CdL at $6 I am not complaining. That's so cheap people are going to buy it just because it's a long filler Cuban robusto for $6. These will be massive hit in Spain.

My neck of the woods, our parliamentary constituency still bears the name, Westmorland and Lonsdale.

A robusto.

Next week tune in for HSA's solution for those who miss classic muscle cars: it's a Yugo!

Its actually an apt comparison. Many of the Old American Classics on the island have had their power trains replaced several times. 4cylinder, naturally aspirated, Hyundai Diesels are extremely common. 4 and 5 speed transmission out of almost anything. Nissan, Hyundai, Geely, Toyota, you name it. Most of the parts come out of old, light duty trucks that the military/Gov doesn't have a use for any more or they don't have the spare parts to keep running.

You forgot to add a zero next to the 6. Six dollars a stick? Can't even get Rafael G petit coronas for that price.

One thing I can say at least, without having sampled one naturally, is that the vitola is a Hermanos No.4. This should prove quite agreeable with those stalwarts of our hobby who already approve of other Hermanos No.4s so vivaciously, such as the H.Upmann Connossieur No.1, Romeo y Julieta Exhibicion No.4, El Rey del Mundo Choix Supreme, Saint Luis Rey Regios and Vegas Robaina Famosos.

I was about to say… why do they keep giving these names of wrong vitolas. It’s hermosos no4 damn it!

Did you have a chance to smoke the Rafael Gonzalez Lonsdale before it was axed? Curious as to why Habanos is trying to breathe new life into an obscure brand they have all but killed off?
