El Presidente Posted January 30, 2023 Posted January 30, 2023 I did have a chuckle yesterday Just to put you in the picture as to how tight and incompetent the global Cuban cigar supply situation currently is. PCC is out ot Monte 4 and currently can't source Monte 4 stock. Maybe there were more Cohiba Siglo 1 and Trini Reyes smokers than I thought ....once upon a time, stocks of Monte 4 resembled the the herds of Bison over the Great Plains. Now I am not saying that the Monte 4 is heading toward extinction anytime soon, only that it puts in perspective how precarious the supply production and distribution chain is for Habanos right now when you cannot service a major market with a bread and butter product. 1
NSXCIGAR Posted January 30, 2023 Posted January 30, 2023 I guess we are still in the thick of it if Monte 4 is sparse at $250. Plenty of RyJ, JL and Hoyo everything available!

Plenty of RyJ, JL and Hoyo everything available! Plenty of cracks if distributors can't get their hands on Monte 4. They can't get their hands on R&J Tubos either which is a big tobacconist item. Outside of Epi 2 and cheaper tubos, Hoyo holds little interest for them. JL has two lines and has almost zero interest outside of specialist retailers.
KnightsAnole Posted January 30, 2023 Posted January 30, 2023 It’s said that only when we are on the precipice, do we change. It’s blowing in the wind. Hang in there. 1

Tstew75 Posted January 31, 2023 Posted January 31, 2023 about a month ago I thought it was getting a tiny bit better...fast forward to today, its gotten worse
JohnS Posted January 31, 2023 Posted January 31, 2023 No Montecristo No.4? Wow...but then again, from Habanos S.A's point of view, it's a relief that Cohiba and Trinidad is still available! 1
ha_banos Posted January 31, 2023 Posted January 31, 2023 Image from airport south of France yesterday. Not highest quality but I'm sure there's no no4 in the stack. Likely to be empty shortly after this was posted I bet! 4
