I'm in.

Current - 304.4 lbs / 137.6 kg

Comp goal - 250 lbs / 113.4 kg

Eventual goal - 210 lbs / 95.2 kg

55 pounds to lose is a lot for 9 weeks, but I'm confident I can do it, and I'd like to be down to 210 by June. I wanna feel like I did when I played water polo again.

I was already down 15 LBS (6.8 K) when the comp. Started and have lost another 5 (2.2 K) since it started. I plan on losing another 10 lbs and then just work on maintaining. I’ll still be overweight b

211 lbs as of this morning. Grateful for this challenge to be motivation! My goal is 195. I've never been this thin as an adult and I haven't been under 220 since high school!

Here we go…

Losing weight is one thing, and it’s the easiest metric for competition purposes, but I’m also going to track other measurements to see a more well-rounded (pun absolutely intended, for now) assessment of progress. As someone else had mentioned, weight fluctuates, fat drops, muscle builds, water gets retained, etc. That said, here are my starting stats:

Starting weight: 223lb (101.15kg)

Waist circumference (around belly button): 44” (111.76cm)

Chest (over arms):  56” (142.24cm)

Chest (under arms): 48” (121.92cm)

Hips: 42” (106.68cm)

Neck: 17” (43.18cm)

Arm: 15.5” (39.37cm)

Thighs: L: 25” (63.5cm) R: 23.5” (59.69cm)

Hoping to get to about 202, cut some serious length around the waist, and I’m really just interested to see how the rest works out.  Cleaning up the diet, significantly cutting back on the drinking (restricting to weekends, if I can!), and being consistent at the gym (4-5 days/week).  That’s the game plan, at least.  Good luck everyone!

Cured sleep apnea and I don’t even snore now, cured periodontal disease, all aches and pains are gone, crazy energy, just feel like a million bucks. I know just eat like I live on a farm in the 1950’s. If it has an ingredients list I don’t eat it.

keep up the good work guys.. it’s sooooo worth it.

Nice! Well done. Do you eat rice? I like rice. And what about alcohol? Oh and crisps (salt and vinegar or plain ony ofc! none of this cheetos rubbish...)?

This is the way. Fruits, veggies, and meats in the right proportions and eating at the right time during the day. Doing this consistently will make your body very happy.

Thank you! No rice, that’s all carbs.. I just ate fish, steak, pork, low carb veggies. Admittedly I drink about a bottle of wine every evening. Wine is very low carb. Some nights I’ll have a couple bourbons instead of wine. I also cut out all sugar with an exception of a teaspoon of maple syrup in my morning coffee.

honestly, this was very very easy to do. Once you enter ketosis you’re just not really hungry anymore.. eat to live and don’t live to eat. Treat food as fuel and nothing else. It will take about 3 days to enter ketosis. After that it’s a breeze really.
