TR Posted January 17, 2023 Posted January 17, 2023 For sure. Added several NW boxes to my humidor in addition to restocking my favorites. Looking forward to the 2023 Nudies. I think I may have purchased my last box of Cohiba or Trinidad. Lucky for me I have multiple boxes of each in the line. I love the Siglo III.
Blakes Posted January 17, 2023 Posted January 17, 2023 Totally changed. Gone from buying an average of 2 boxes a month for the last decade to buying 1 box in all of 2022. Smoked and bought more NC's in 2022 than in all of the previous decade.. Now also starting to look at revisiting pipe smoking. I've got that 'dug in' attitude now... Habanos said FU to us, so FU Habanos for the foreseeable... The sad thing is I had no plans to change my smoking/buying habits whatsoever, a CC purist and loyal customer, I would have happily continued to buy 2-3 boxes of CC's a month for the next 30 - 40 years, or until I dropped. 2
NweakO Posted January 17, 2023 Posted January 17, 2023 Honestly Cigarmageddon has been happening for 10 years here in the middle east. So to me the world is just catching up 😂. Actually even with the recent global price increases, it's a bit cheaper than the Middle East at the moment (a Siglo VI is around $200). So not much has changed. Tried for more than a decade to get into NCs, not working. 2

Can't get past the first half an inch before NC's flavor falls flat. I will keep on smoking my CC's. I have a few. Waiting on those nudie canonozas. Hoping they live up to expectations. If they do I'm going all in for awhile. 😁

It will cost $11.95 a stick. That is a daily cigar for both Hamlet and I. We will only make cigars under Nudes that we would smoke every day. We only need to satisy 2 people. 2 2 3
BrightonCorgi Posted January 17, 2023 Posted January 17, 2023 I cannot help to think on the cost of a cigar now, where it has not been a consideration for almost 20 years. Even if it's to bug my wife for the 1000th time on "how expensive cigars are now." I won't make an investment in NC's, but would pick up 2-5 sticks at a time if that's how it goes. I buy customs when I can vs. NCs when afforded the opportunity.
cigaraholic Posted January 17, 2023 Posted January 17, 2023 I’ve slowed way down reaching for large format cigars and haven’t bought anything larger than a robusto for quite some time. I’d already stopped buy Cohiba’s a couple of years ago. I’m not a NC smoker, the only ones I’ve enjoyed cost as much as Cohiba’s. I was lucky to be buying cigars like a drunken sailor right up to the crash. When Cigarmagedden hit I loaded up on small format cigars that didn’t jump up right away. All I can do is sit back, enjoy a cigar and shake my head. 1
bassistheplace Posted January 17, 2023 Posted January 17, 2023 first off, it sucks. I was spoiled by CC's being basically the same price as NC's and I absolutely prefer Cuban tobacco. So I've really cut down on consumption and added some pleasant enough NC's, but once you've had the best, it's hard to go back...
