It just screams a decadent afternoon of Cuba Libre's :lol3:

.....but paired with what cigar?

THE WORLD'S OLDEST RUM

Distilled in Barbados and dating to 1780, this bottle of "light" rum comes from the Harewood estate and is part of a bottling that holds the Guinness Record for being the world's oldest rum. This particular bottle was sold in 2013 by Christie's in London and was one of just 23 out of 59 that were suitable for sale, with the rest having deteriorated past collectibility. It's now being sold by Miami-based Old Liquors, which recently sold a sibling bottle to a collector in Switzerland.

No negativity at all. Sorry but couldn’t resist. The DP is the Davidoff with the vastest track record, almost emblematic for being hit and miss after all those years.

No Fugu, didn’t think you were being negative. It was a movie quote…something I usually say when the obvious downside is possible.

That rum could definitely be hit or miss as well.

Something so delicate like that rum would need an equally delicate cigar.  I am not so impressed with 150+ year bottled aged spirits beyond the novelty.

I'd go for an LGC Tainos or an older QdO Imperiales

Agreed, since its probably incredibly delicate and light at this point, I'd go with something like a La Fuerza. Bring out those light pancake and syrup flavors

My first thought as well . Maybe a du Dauphin or du Roi Pethaps  .
