SCgarman Posted January 6, 2023 Posted January 6, 2023 Lonsdale. 42 or 43 Ring. Would have loved to try the Rafael Gonzalez Lonsdale! Never did 3
HoyoFan Posted January 6, 2023 Posted January 6, 2023 I’d say pyramid for two reasons. One logical, one purely emotional. First the logical: the size gives us the time and the amount of smoke production to enjoy the stick and not worry too much about keeping it lit. The emotional: when you hand out cigars to your friends, there’s always this collegiate “ooh” when you take out 8 pyramids. Everyone kinda stops talking and just admires the shape. There’s something a little more special about it. 2
Blakes Posted January 6, 2023 Posted January 6, 2023 No contest - Lonsdale Corona Grandes would be my preferred 'subtype'. Like the Des Dieux, Sig 3, Punch SS1, QDO GC etc...
Islandboy Posted January 6, 2023 Posted January 6, 2023 Guess I’m banned too, voted Montesco. Piramide would be close second.....I do like my cigars to last a while. And people tell me I have a big mouth, usually at the top of their lungs. 1 1
TBird55 Posted January 6, 2023 Posted January 6, 2023 Lonsdale for me, but would love to see something around 46 - 47 Rg and 7".
helix Posted January 6, 2023 Posted January 6, 2023 A long lasting Belicoso such as Bolivar Belicoso Fino, at 5.5 x 52 .
rcarlson Posted January 6, 2023 Posted January 6, 2023 Montesco 'cause I don't have any. Why not go for some "strange?"
GaryK 54 Posted January 6, 2023 Posted January 6, 2023 Lonsdale without a doubt. Not only do I like the higher concentration of wrapper and binder flavour vs. filler, I also love the way a Lonsdale feels in the hand. Ken, I'm not ashamed to admit it... like you I had to look up a Montesco (130mm 55 RG). Noooooo.🤣 1 1
Hammer Smokin' Posted January 6, 2023 Posted January 6, 2023 5x55? no thanks. Lonsdale for this guy as well. 2
Low Posted January 6, 2023 Posted January 6, 2023 Definitely a toss up between robusto and lonsdale. Had to go with robusto in the end though 1
sageman Posted January 6, 2023 Posted January 6, 2023 Lonsdale is top 2-3 for me so that is my choice. But with the glassware for those beverages it’s an easy decision.
ha_banos Posted January 6, 2023 Posted January 6, 2023 May all you Montesco's be struck down with lock jaw. What!? 1
shamz84 Posted January 6, 2023 Posted January 6, 2023 Double Corona or Lonsdale for me Sent from my GM1913 using Tapatalk 1
potpest Posted January 6, 2023 Posted January 6, 2023 I'd take a Lonsdale, Piramide very close second, would expect the Lonsdale to last me longer if in a social situation.
LizardGizmo Posted January 6, 2023 Posted January 6, 2023 Joining the crowd with Lonsdale for sure. Perfect 70 min smoke.

It has the advantage of a cool smoking first third, the right ratios of tobacco as you mentioned. And as you also mentioned with a slight box press, it just looks right and feels right in the hand. Montesco fans have the right to their opinion, and whilst it's right we should say that it's equally valid and respectable..............we all know that it isn't Ha! 1 1

Consider it R&D We are going to be together in an outdoor lounge for the next 70 minutes or so but you can stay longer. Which cigar are you choosing? Lonsdale. I’m looking for something rich and complex if I’m outdoors.
dms99 Posted January 6, 2023 Posted January 6, 2023 I will take a Piramide and a Balvenie 12 on the rocks please.
avaldes Posted January 6, 2023 Posted January 6, 2023 Well it depends. If we are talking current production Cuban cigars, then I would probably choose a Piramide. Simply for the fact that I can't have a Bolivar Lonsdale or a Partagas PS#1 or an RA-898. But if those are on the table, then Lonsdale for sure. 1
