I have about 80% of my taste back, but this cough is brutal coughing every 5 minutes and it's driving my wife crazy. *Listen, Smeltz; for a chronic cough get yourself some PINEAPPLE JUICE. DON'T get it in the carton in the refrigerated section (Dole for example) but get either the organic glass bottle of it, and if you can't get ahold of that then get it off the grocery store shelves. Pineapple juice (or even canned pineapple slices) will salve that cough for you. My 94 year old aunt advised us of this. Everybody thinks it's orange juice that straightens you out when it comes to cough and cold...but it's PINEAPPLE JUICE. Again, DON'T get the pasteurized Dole carton in the refrigerated section of your grocers. I guess that process destroys its properties. And you should be relieved of your coughing spasms. *In October of now last year I had to be taken by ambulance to the hospital. I didn't take my doctor's orders seriously about my low potassium levels and wasn't taking the potassium tablets...and I amost went on to my reward! While in the hospital I caught the COVID for the first time and was shocked as hell when they told me! I was finally released to go home in mid November. But I hope I learned my lesson. The physical therapists (who I called "My Torturers") came by to excercise me and told me I LOOKED sick and decided to have mercy on me. Plus, I couldn't be taken to the gym for them to work me out too. I was so weak and out of it that I couldn't even take myself to the bathroom! I had to use the bedpan (which was NOT fun). But again, that was due to low potassium and sodium levels. I'd had my shots too, but caught it anyway! At least the shot will keep you from dying from it. 1
Sir Diggamus Posted January 7, 2023 Posted January 7, 2023 I think I may be in this camp. I had COVID in mid-November and seemed to recover except for the random episodes of fatigue/exhaustion, mostly in the afternoons or evenings. I had been trying lately to contribute it to something else, but I think it is just long COVID Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
BeerPimp Posted January 7, 2023 Posted January 7, 2023 I have never tested positive for Covid but in December of 2019 I think I got Covid before we knew what it really was. I got sick and was having minor breathing issues. Went to the doctor and they thought I had bronchitis. Seems like I am getting better so I go back to work. The next day I was having pretty serious breathing issues and end up in the ICU with a serious pulmonary embolism. I got out 3 days later. The one thing that stands out when I was sick with supposed bronchitis was my sense of smell was really messed up. I had just gotten a new sub for my surround sound system and the smell from the rubber gasket was so horrible I could not sit in my chair next to it. It screwed with the flavor of cigars bad. I am getting back to close to normal but sometimes I feel like I don't get the same flavors out of cigars.
