Popular Post shokao Posted January 2, 2023 Popular Post Posted January 2, 2023 Partagas Shorts is a great cigar but I think is consensus that it needs some aging. Since I was to curious to wait 3-5 years to taste at its highest, I've decided to burn one up and see how it goes. In the first third notes of baking spices and black pepper (maybe the pepper it's because it's young? Idk). It doesn't take long for other nuances to show up: wood, toasted coffee beans and milk chocolate. The draw is tight in the first third and got better after applying some light pressure in it's whole body. This cigar after a few years can become GREAT, I can tell this based on how it tastes now, lots of potential. In the second third the baking spices starts to vanish giving it's place to the wood note which increases in presence and bring some vanilla with it. The sweetness is great at this point. In the last third, cream notes join the party which is amazingly good. The burn if perfect throughout the whole smoke experience, with compact and dark ashes. The cigar stays balanced the whole time until I put it down. My rating to this cigar is 93/100. 9 1
Adisaputra Posted January 2, 2023 Posted January 2, 2023 I have a 2019 dress box and 2018 in a 50 cab. Huge difference between those two. The one in the dress box is kinda muted at the last third, while cab 50 gives an amazing performance throughout. 2
SingleBarrel Posted January 2, 2023 Posted January 2, 2023 Great review! Love the Part short’s. I’ve got a 2017 cab, 92-93 pointers every time. 2

Arabian Posted January 9, 2023 Posted January 9, 2023 Thanks for the review, they get positive feedback. How do they compare to Romeo y Julieta Mille Fleurs/ HDM du Depute? and do you suggest them for a morning/noon cigar?.

I've smoked a RyJ Mille Fleurs years ago and I don't remember much... never bought again. HDM du Depute I never tried although I love almost everything from HDM. I think they are PERFECT for a morning/noon cigar, specially when paired with coffee or tea. They are the most flavorful short sticks that I've ever tried.
