Popular Post El Presidente Posted December 30, 2022 Popular Post Posted December 30, 2022 Happy new year folks! Di and I wish you and your family a healthy and prosperous 2023! 2022 was a crappy year for many reasons. Primarily, we lost too many FOH family way too young. We met those good people through cigars. We laughed with them while smoking cigars. You may have never met them but if you were an FOH'er, you knew them. They were cigar family. Habanos did our community no favours in 2022. They deemed roughly a 1/3rd of us no longer good enough to smoke a product that we have loved and supported over many years. We still love Cuban cigars. We just detest the messaging and direction of those in control. Control is the key word. Focus on what we can control. My 2023 FOH resolution is to provide the most competitive prices on available Cuban cigars that I can and to break bulk (qtr boxes etc) where I can in order to make the product as affordable to as many members as possible. In addition to this, I am resolute in releasing six cigars this year blended and rolled to exacting standards and priced at a point that they can be smoked and enjoyed by as many members as possible. You will be helping me on this journey in building a brand/s for Cuban cigar lovers by Cuban cigar lovers. Let's kick some arse together. Bring on 2023. Happy New Year 30 11
SCgarman Posted December 31, 2022 Posted December 31, 2022 Amen to that Rob. See you on the other side in a couple days, '23
anacostiakat Posted December 31, 2022 Posted December 31, 2022 Let me say first of all that personally I don't do resolutions. Waste of time for me. Heh. That said, I for one am looking forward to you and Hamlet's efforts this coming year. For two obvious reasons I think. One, based of previous offering I expect a solid product at a solid price. Secondly, I believe based on point one you are positioned for success. This marketing climate from Cuba is wacko. Also, I might add that I applaud your marketing of quarter boxes, etc. makes good sense. To the future! 2
dominattorney Posted December 31, 2022 Posted December 31, 2022 Thank you @El Presidente for that statement. Well said. You think about supporting a company loyally over the years despite the fact that sometimes entire boxes of their product are mediocre at best and it makes you mad to see that company turn around and price so many out of the market without upping the QC standard. I wish your new venture well, though I am certain you will see resounding success. I normally don't make resolutions either but this year I took stock of where my professional life was headed. In 2022 I have seen too many injustices perpetrated by my government against its citizens so I took a bunch of continuing education classes and signed up some civil rights clients. 2023 will be the year of suing the police who abuse their authority. Hell or high water, at least I'll make plenty of friends. 4
benfica_77 Posted December 31, 2022 Posted December 31, 2022 My only resolutions is simple but very difficult to apply for 2023 it works for all facets of life including the state of cigars.... I can't control forces outside of my control but I can control how I react to them. So i'm going to focus on that aspect controlling my reactions to all challenges in life. 2
Squarehead Posted December 31, 2022 Posted December 31, 2022 Happy New Year to all FOH'ers, heck,to everybody everywhere. No resolutions for me.As a matter of fact I never did.🍾
JoshD Posted December 31, 2022 Posted December 31, 2022 Thanks Pres, if you did nothing but keep the N3 available, that would be enough to keep me hanging around! It punches above its weight for sure. ............although I do hope that we eventually see the forthcoming large format N's in a sampler size! Keep up the good work......Happy New Year everyone.
SCgarman Posted December 31, 2022 Posted December 31, 2022 I also do not do resolutions. All I want to accomplish in '23 is to wake up every day for the next 365 and cheat death out of a victory. That is perfectly adequate for myself. 2
Ford2112 Posted December 31, 2022 Posted December 31, 2022 My resolutions are to get my health better and to buy as many cigars from team FOH as possible! 1
NweakO Posted December 31, 2022 Posted December 31, 2022 Happy new year! My resolution is to buy as much Nudies as I can and break up with the girlfriend!
LLC Posted December 31, 2022 Posted December 31, 2022 I made a resolution many, many years ago to never make resolutions and I have been able to keep it ever since. 1
BoliDan Posted December 31, 2022 Posted December 31, 2022 I see most people don't do resolutions, and I get it. Whenever I think of resolutions, I end up on something very dumb, because all the 'Good' resolutions tend to set me up for a less enjoyable year. Eating healthier, more time on things that I don't have time for. I get improving yourself is the goal, but I'm not committing to eating less brisket, that sounds horrible 1
Duxnutz Posted January 1, 2023 Posted January 1, 2023 Bunch of BS, everyone loves NY resolutions (they won’t keep!). My goal is to lose some weight, exercise more, get in a better head space and smoke more cigars! 3
