Lfhard Posted December 29, 2022 Posted December 29, 2022 Question on these. Has anyone seen one of these collection books with Sir Winstons? I have seen others with magnums and other brands, but have not seen one with Sir Winston’s until yesterday. Is this a new book being released or is this a fake or what? Can’t find anything on it.
NSXCIGAR Posted December 29, 2022 Posted December 29, 2022 There is no Coleccion Habanos release featuring Sir Winston. There have been three CH releases featuring H. Upmann: Magnum Especial (2007 & 2011) and Super Magnum (2020). Where are you seeing this? 1
Popular Post Lfhard Posted December 29, 2022 Author Popular Post Posted December 29, 2022 @NSXCIGAR So I edited the picture to remove vendor and price hopefully that was good enough. It’s on a vendors site I have used before and I have always received authentic stuff from them but seeing this book for sale has me wondering. 5
Popular Post ATGroom Posted December 30, 2022 Popular Post Posted December 30, 2022 Looks like a distributor repack, ie, one of the distributors has commissioned some book humidors and then repacked genuine cigars from their inventory into them. Same as the Sevillia Jars and many, many other releases. Not part of the Collecion Habanos books like the Magnum Especial and Super Magnum which are released worldwide direct from Habanos and always contain a unique size. Not seen these anywhere else, but found the site your image comes from and they are grey market but genuine in my very limited experience of them. 6 2
NSXCIGAR Posted December 30, 2022 Posted December 30, 2022 I found the vendor and listing. The vendor is known and is trusted to my knowledge although I have no firsthand experience I can recall. That said, this is not a Habanos release. It looks like this vendor is creating this packaging themselves similar to vendor/distributor jars and humidors, etc. They also have Monte, Partagas, Hoyo and RyJ versions with different cigars mixed and matched. Aside from the novelty of a private custom book humi box not much to see here. 1 1

Lfhard Posted December 30, 2022 Author Posted December 30, 2022 Thank you for the responses. Yea it is pricey for what it is. I could care less about the book humidor just want some Sir Winston’s. I was just curious since I’ve never seen a book with those before. Thank you for clarifying that information for me. 1
NSXCIGAR Posted December 30, 2022 Posted December 30, 2022 8 hours ago, Lfhard said: just want some Sir Winston’s. The price they're asking for 24 SWs isn't a terrible deal. I would say it's certainly no more than 10% above secondary market prices. They are quite scarce and if you're just dying to get some it's not the worst deal in the world. 1 1
Lfhard Posted December 30, 2022 Author Posted December 30, 2022 Yea I actually went ahead and purchased it. I’ve been trying to get some SW for a while now and have not been successful. The price right now I think is worth it, I’m sure the price will be going up even more in January figured this might be my last short to get a box. There is a box on BR going for more once you add in the 15% fee and shipping. So I figured why not, this is my chance.
Ciscojohansson Posted December 30, 2022 Posted December 30, 2022 Please post some pics once you get it, would love to see the box/book. 1
Popular Post Lfhard Posted January 9, 2023 Author Popular Post Posted January 9, 2023 Ok just got this in. Looks nice I like the packaging. Even though I could care less about the “humidor part” since it will just go into my big humidor. Cigars look and smell amazing. 8
BrightonCorgi Posted January 10, 2023 Posted January 10, 2023 The vendor make a few bucks on the packaging and gets a free SW to smoke on each one. Not a bad deal. 1
gormag38 Posted January 10, 2023 Posted January 10, 2023 The sticks look great! I haven't seen anything like that before, so thanks for sharing the unpacking photos. Did they give you any date or box code on the sticks or no?
Lfhard Posted January 10, 2023 Author Posted January 10, 2023 @gormag38 No unfortunately they didn’t have a box code or date on them.
