nbuchanan2 Posted February 10, 2006 Posted February 10, 2006 I've been looking forward to those for a few months now :-D

patrick Posted February 12, 2006 Posted February 12, 2006 Have you noticed a difference in taste between these and the non-tub version? I've only have the non-tubed and was just wondering.
CigarZen Posted February 18, 2006 Posted February 18, 2006 » Have you noticed a difference in taste between these and the non-tub » version? I've only have the non-tubed and was just wondering. Some say that the blend that went in the tubes was better. I don't know that is true. I have some aging. My guess is that the blend is the same but they age differently. One thing I can say is the tubes are VERY impressive looking. They are some top notch packaging. My only suggested improvement would be loose the carbard outer box and pu them in a flat wooden box.
stogies&hoagies Posted February 18, 2006 Posted February 18, 2006 » Mid Feb I am told. Will shore up early next week. Is it mid Feb. Yet? :-D
hazleem Posted February 19, 2006 Posted February 19, 2006 Yeah.. isn't it Mid Feb already? Really anxious here! :-D
jay8354 Posted February 19, 2006 Posted February 19, 2006 Hate to give everyone the bad news but I did have a chat with Liza last week and confirmed this: While there are Siglo VI Tubos coming in, Czar have only got a 1/3 allocation. Now wait for the really bad news: There are only.... Are you ready? 30 Tubos. Passed out yet.. More will be coming in but (not blaming anyone but Habanos S.A. for not paying bills on time) this has to be the most ridulous thing ever. I am not sure if this is a new marketing stragedy or what, but it is killing off demand.
Tampa1257 Posted February 19, 2006 Posted February 19, 2006 » I am not sure if this is a new marketing stragedy or what, but it is » killing off demand. Jay, unfortunately your demand assessment is not correct, IMHO. The shortage is creating a even higher market demand, thus the supply and demand quotient rises as does the rarity and the price tag. Ever notice that items that don't move or sit around for a very long time with little to no movement (such as the Sublimes) and lo and behold you see the markets around the world continue to drop the price in order to find a price point where the consumer will spend the money for them, ref: Cohiba Sublimes currently available around $525 a box in some locations. It is about shelf turns. When the Siglo VI (which IMHO is a far superior cigar) is in short supply, the price will be paid regardless because the demand is there. Short supply = High Demand, higher price while, Large Supply and Low Demand, prices continue to drop. So, I believe that you will continue to see the Demand for the Siglo VI because it is one of the few Large Ring cigars that truly is worthy of the price and people want them, even will pay more for them during periods of short supply.
Ginseng Posted February 19, 2006 Posted February 19, 2006 Well doesn't this just suck. I wanted a few just to have on hand for giving out but now it looks like that's not going to happen. Why does thos hobby have such a love/hate aspect to it? Wilkey
Cartierusm Posted February 22, 2006 Posted February 22, 2006 I've never had siglo VI and don't really intend to buy a box but do all 3 packs come in tubes, cause I might buy some of those as the tubes look beautiful?

I got a 3-pack of the tubos last summer and yes they're beautiful! Deffinately a conversation starter when you pull one out. You can spot that tubo from across a crowded room.
kab55 Posted March 2, 2006 Posted March 2, 2006 I just buy the boxes, don't need to impress anyone with the tubes. Haven't noticed aifference in the way they smoke.
raisin Posted March 3, 2006 Posted March 3, 2006 Yes, the tubo's do draw a crowd, I can't think of a more prominent package.
