A few folk have already said Padron 1926 and I couldn't agree more - a phenomenal cigar. Davidoff Signature, Davidoff Royal Release and Davidoff Yamasa come to mind as other alternatives. I'd als

Side question to the poll.  Which are the fullest bodied NC cigars that are not  pepper bombs?  Full bodied, rich, no pepper.  I don't believe I have found one so far and would love to

In general, you can find full flavored (high quality) NCs fro the higher-end Arturo Fuente (e.g., Don Carlos), Davidoff, Padron, Tatuaje, Illuision, and Dunbarton, for example. In general, I find many

After much trying the ones I actually like are Serino Tainos corona Gorda. The more I have that cigar the more I enjoy it. Not a hint of pepper to me. Very much everything I love in HUpmann. Toast with a touch of sweetness. However this serino also adds some cedar character.

Ok, here it goes another attempt to enjoy more of NCs, pulled the trigger on:

12 Nudies N1 Rosado (split with @Lamboinee worked out fine)
01 Davidoff Nicaragua Diadema (had the Toro before and enjoyed it)
01 Padron 1926 No. 2 Natural
01 Padron 1926 No. 2 Maduro
01 Padron 1964 Torpedo Natural
01 Padron 1964 Torpedo Maduro
01 Liga Privada H99 Robusto
01 Liga Privada N. 9 Toro
01 Liga Privada T52 Corona Doble

Any opinions?

I love Black Label Trading Co. And Black Works Studio from the Ovea Negra factory.

Stunning smokes.

I don't get pepper, just full-on chocolate and sweet cooked fruit. They rev your heart a bit, though. Full bodied, full flavoured, not peppery and med-full strength.

Most Tatuaje and RomaCraft also, especially the Aquitaine.

It might not be the fullest bodied (but I'd say med at start then eventually med-full) but I just had my first Atabey and it was the Lancero and WOW. So much flavor and not a hint of pepper anywhere. Extremely floral start, I think I'll be picking up a box eventually.

Always. The Padron's should be sure-things.  I'm curious to see what we each think of the nudies. The diadema is the best size for the Davi Nic IMO.  Liga, Liga, Liga....I think you should smoke it before I share any of opinions on that line as I think I am biased.  Curious what you think about the 3 different wrappers you selected.  Good luck!

I find all the Atabeys very Cohiba-like, with a price tag to match.

Full flavored and rich, with smooth tobacco without pepper?... So like your nudie line?

Don calos (although theres some harshness at times)

Padrons (these are kind of flat flavored for me)

Davidoff ( too pricey for what they are but fit the profile)

Byron and atabey (lighter body but very intresting and massively overpriced)

Illusion epernay line (la maton lonsdale cant pass these up)

Foundation  (tabernacle lance is delectable with a clove note)

Dunbarton tobacco ( these are in the wheelhouse but i prefer their smaller ring gages)

Tatuaje ( aged unico >brown label< and reserva line. The black labels get back to pepin pepper)

Myfather (the Fonseca line is very good!!! But i wish the name was not appropriated )

Oliva v (but with age and i believe you already know the profile sometimes these can be chemical-ish too)

Not sure if these are still around but the Cornelius from Cornelius & Anthony cigars was a treat and made in florida at titan de bronze i think... i remember them being what youre looking for

Side note, the nc world is filled with "special" new addition lines that seem to take all the best tobaccos to market but then once they go out of vogue can fall back into the mix... so try the newest lines to find out what the blender is into? Its fun

Also to my palate these regions tobacco sits here:

Dominican tobacco is smooth but has a mineraly/ metallic note

Honduran has a dirty (rotten?) Forest floor note (sickly sweet earthiness) and can get chalky

Ecuadorian- sharpness

nicaraguan full dark chocolate/coffee  but peppery that borders on chemical

American is sweet, bold and overpriced (at least to my pay scale)

Cuban ..... balanced, nuanced, and inconsistent (but perfect when done right lol)

Hope this helps with my recomendations?

I thought it was just me. Horrible "fake" chemically profile, for me. Like additives or something. People swear by them. I haven't had a good one.

Had the opportunity to sample some RomaCraft this weekend. No black pepper. Retrohale at your own risk though. Red pepper comes closer. Delicious nonetheless. Smoke so thick you can cut it up and eat it. That tobacco is something else. Chocolate, nuts, dark fruits, yum. Shame there's no distribution in my neck of the woods.

Love Cubans as much as the next guy but there is other quality tobacco out there.

Also have much love for the premium Joya the Nicaragua lines and (older) Illusione cigars (Aganorsa).

Personally find Padron grossly overpriced (in Europe) for their boring product. It's well made fore sure, just doesn't wow me. I actually prefer the Oliva v / v melanio over it.

Nice primer I think this has inspired me to start another thread on NCs that CC smokers enjoy (generally medium bodied relative to other NC means well into full bodied relative to CC).
