Another vote for high end Arturo Funtes -- and in particular, for the AF OpusX Shark, which when aged exactly fits the profile you were seeking IMO.  Of course, those can be difficult to find.

However, there is an easier way to obtain them -- and to support a good cause:  The annual, "Taste Across America" boxes, which contain an AF Opus Shark as well as the Diamond Crown Julius Caesar Shark (which, while tasty is much more linear than the AF in my opinion).  It's also reasonably priced @ $50 for the box of two -- all of which is supposed to go to charity -- and it's often available from the "family" store in Tampa.  …And sometimes you can find past years’ TAA boxes, so can sample differences in age.

From the same source, you may also be able to find other remarkable AF cigars, especially as part of sampler sets.  The Rare Pinks are wonderful ROTT, in my opinion, just like the aforementioned Angel's Shares.  ...And if you see a set of already aged Don Arturo Destino al Siglos, then you'll have found what I believe are some of the absolute best NC's available.

I just had a Diamond Crown Maximus Maduro (want to say robusto extra) that's been sitting in my humi for ten + years easily. I agree with the linear assessment (although the flavor profile was interesting and pleasant), but the one thing that really turned me off about it was that it was extremely harsh on the back of the throat (never really had that before). 🙄

Other than that it was a decent NC

A few folk have already said Padron 1926 and I couldn't agree more - a phenomenal cigar. Davidoff Signature, Davidoff Royal Release and Davidoff Yamasa come to mind as other alternatives. I'd als

Side question to the poll.  Which are the fullest bodied NC cigars that are not  pepper bombs?  Full bodied, rich, no pepper.  I don't believe I have found one so far and would love to

In general, you can find full flavored (high quality) NCs fro the higher-end Arturo Fuente (e.g., Don Carlos), Davidoff, Padron, Tatuaje, Illuision, and Dunbarton, for example. In general, I find many

Just to clarify here, are we talking full body in terms of flavor or strength?

Full flavoured.

Rich, round, great palate weight, minimal pepper.

I would say Roma Craft CroMagnon. Neanderthal is a real pepper bomb, but this one is different. Most pardons are full flavor, but full of pepper too. Just ordered few CroMagnon Lanceros and I can’t wait to try them.

My experiences with the Diamond Crowns are limited.  However, I have had more than a few from the TAA selections, and all have been wonderful flavors.  ...I just love the 3/3rds which so many CC's produce (and which the AFOX brings in big ways), which is my only challenge with "linear" experiences.  ...But the DC in the TAA was powerful yet without any harshness at all.  Well worth trying IMO.

Another vote on AF Don Carlos and LFG Double Ligero.  Also most of the Foundation cigars such as the two Tabernacle lines and the David and the Goliath perfectos.

Also forgot to mention the CAO Brazilia, BX3 and Orelana

Alec Bradley Prensado, haven’t had one in a while, might be some pepper in there…can’t really remember

Herrera Esteli Brazilian Maduro

Burned the Esteli Robusto Maduro last night. I would love to have a box! Somewhere (pleasantly) between a VR Famosos and a Boli RC. Good cigar!

I had one yesterday too. Leather, unsweet chocolate and all spice bomb. Getting through the box slowly…not my favorite, but I’m not angry with it either.

BYRON DISTINGUIDOS 21ST. Anything and everything Byron are amazing and incomparable to other manufacturers. Expensive but great.

*Sorry but I did not find anything Byron at all great or amazing. The experience I got was of just taking my 2 fingers, putting them together and sucking on empty air...it was just that damn bland and empty of any flavor or aroma whatsoever. :thumbsdwn:

They’re not widely available but Crook of the Crown are excellent full bodied and just a touch of pepper on the start.

Some have said Liga #9, and while I agree, they can be very hard to find at a B&M, depending on the local market. As a substitute, I'd highly recommend the Tabernacle by Foundation. Should be easy to find from a reputable tobacconist.

This is how I feel with most Davidoff (other than Year of's and Dark Hour) and Atabey. Which Byron's have you smoked?

I have a box of 2015's still. Would love someone to take em off my hands!

*I don't have the name of the stick but it was like a lonsdale or thinner toro. The Atabey was a loser in my view too - smoked the same way as the Byron. The Davidoff's on the other hand have much more going for them in my view.

Royal Release and Millenium Blends in Davidoff are that. Dominicana Robusto is that too. Late Hour Churchill also.

padron series mentioned I agree too.

casa Cuba, shark, Don carlos and Reserva d’Chateau from Fuente too.

reserva cosecha from Plasencia I think fits that profile too.

Padron 26, Fuente Opus, Davidoff Millenium Blend, Tatuaje and Oliva Master Blends 3 all come to mind. I see mention of the Ashton ESG but no mention of the VSG.  That's a wonderful cigar with a nice full flavor, I love the VSG, especially the Tres Mystique, Corona Gorda and Illusion being my favorites of that blend.  LFD are very full flavored, the Double Ligero can make you sweat lol.

Fuente Sun Grown wrappers are also nice and full flavored.  King B, Queen B, the Rothschild are great cigars.  If you can find them, the Hemingway Sun Growns are wonderful too.

Byron doesn't make a cigar smaller than a 50 gauge and that is unique to the petite robusto. There is not a cigar in their portfolio even close to resembling a lonsdale. The Distinguido' 21st is 55x6, which is what I recommended. You must be mistaken.
