What is a 95 + point cigar for a cigar lover?

  • It is an exceptional smoking experience.
  • Close your eyes and you can still taste it now.
  • You will remember the experience for years to come.

I rarely experience a 95 + point cigar.  The last one was the Saint Luis Rey Double Corona from 07 reviewed a couple of weeks back with Ken.  I have never experienced a 95+ point Non Cuban Cigar. That is not a criticism.  I hope to do so one day. I hope to blend one, one day.

Now you may have a different scoring system but let's not play semantics. You know what sublime/exceptional is. Go look at the three points again.

What was your last 95 + point cigar experience? Cuban or Non Cuban.

List it below and do the poll :cigar:

Make sure to list your last 95 point cigars as a reference point for others

2006 Cohiba Siglo V

3 months ago. Partagas 898 REG JUN 18. I was smoking an average of 10-13 cigars a week last year. Work schedule has changed and I’m now around 1 every few weeks. I enjoy the ones I do smoke a lot more

I tried an RA Private Stock 230 the other week. Thought I should give this hard to find and ridiculously expensive cigar a try. £125 to buy and smoke in the shop. From the very f

Cohiba Siglo VI MAR ENE '20 - I've only ever smoked a few of these (prior experiences were good, not great)  - this one shocked me...poor timing given the price increases 🤣, but very glad I got to finally see the light on one of these!

I don't have the experience that some here have...

Davidoff Escurio Robusto

I smoke Davidoff on occasion, one of the few non Cuban brands that I still enjoy. When I do, I usually smoke one of their white label lines but this was given to me by a friend to try over the Thanksgiving holiday weekend. I was extremely surprised by it and can’t stop thinking about it. I have 2 boxes en route.

The last Cuban I smoked 95 points. R&J Wide Churchill TUA box code just gorgeous.

Smoked a Rocky Patel that managed 90 points. It was actually okay.

A gifted Punch DC. No date or code but was assumed to be 2000ish. That smoke had me totally lost in it and disconnected from the folks around me.

A 6yo Fuente Between the Lines I had earlier in the year was wonderful. Less aged ones have not been quite as great.
