MOFOH Program.

We have been working on the MOFOH program for some time. 

Nudies is simply what Hamlet and I enjoy and it will continue that way....forever 

MOFOH cigars take a different bent. They will be FOH member driven cigars, conceived by FOH members, for FOH. 

• Imagine if you had one of the best blenders in the world in your stable. You do. 
• Imagine if you had access to some of the finest NC tobaccos in the world. You do. 
• Imagine if you had an impeccable rolling team. You do. 

We will run this as Cuba runs it's Regional Release program. 

1. We agree on a size. 

2. We discuss flavour profile.

2. I will select a  2023 FOH tasting team comprising 5 experienced  FOH members + 1 mod, myself and Hamlet. It is envisioned the member tasting team will change each year but logistics is key here. 

3. Each member of the tasting team will receive the best 2-3 blends of the cigar. 

4. One week of official tastings (tasting zoom sessions). Recorded and edited. 

5. Two things are required:

•           Majority consensus on the best cigar.
•           Majority consensus that the cigar is a 90 point cigar (now) +  potential for 92+. .within 24 months.  

6. FOH preorders are taken at a respectable discount. Expect 60-90 days to delivery. 

7. Order fulfillment. 

8.  The cigar becomes a permanent FOH line. 

 

Anticipated Timing for MOFOH 1 (we may be able to bring it forward up to 8 weeks but lets play it safe). 

December 15  (2022)    Size and blend discussion finalised. 

January     15                Production of prototypes commences. 

January      30               Tasting panel announced. 

February    15               Panel receives blend A/B (possibly C)

February     28              Tasting commences. 

March         15               Winning Blend announced.    Production Commences. 

March          20               Pre-orders 

June            30               Delivery on pre-orders

Let's start with sizing today for the inaugural MOFOH cigar. I am going to restrict your choices to three vitolas and you can pick 2. 

There is a question on blends as well but don't overthink it.

I have really enjoyed the Nudies releases, but have always wanted a larger format version. I am very excited to see this released. I have absolutely no qualifications to serve on the panel, but am well qualified to enjoy the finished product of everyone else's hard work.

Canonazo Amante 52 gauge X 150 mm 5 7/8 inches 

Churchill Cortado 49 gauge X 155 mm 6.10 inches. 

Spada Gorda 46 gauge X 150mm 5 7/8 inches.

 

These are some nice vitolas. I used to think 49-50 X 6” was the perfect cigar size but now I’d go for the Spada Gorda first. But I quibble, I wouldn’t turn down any of them.

After my N4's settled in my humidor they really turned a corner in terms of balance. I really can't wait to see what you guys can do in other vitolas.  Cigars powered by FOH democracy. I love the idea!
