El Pres was solid as was the podcast.  One thing I specifically appreciated was that El Pres shared some actual info and knowledge, not just a sales pitch.  Sales as a service, rather than just hype.

I totally agree. It’s simply an extension of who Rob is here with us - just in long form. His candor and honesty, especially as it relates to HSA and Cuban cigars, is why he was an important guest for us to have on. And hopefully again in a few months as pricing and supply only get worse 🤣

If I remember correctly it also segwayed into someone on the podcast sharing a story about their relative's recent trip to Cuba where they were told by a manager in a cc factory that Cuba has like 300k sticks just waiting for boxes and that every table was occupied in the factory. Is that true? Idk. I believe that they saw that and were told that. What does it mean? Idk. But I still liked hearing it. If I had 300k vagueros, bad press, other issues, etc., and no boxes...I would maybe start selling more cardboard 3/5 packs. Hell, can't we float some ziplock and bovedas their way when the tied it right? Pardon reuses their boxes..... Maybe we can all donate our old boxes.

I was in Cuba and was told this by the director of La Corona. They have 1M cigars rolled on the island, with not enough packaging to ship the cigars. Also, the rolling desks were full.

That’s some seriously good news, assuming at a minimum we are talking about hand rolled long filler (It’s not my standards that are slipping, just my desire for supply of something in this category to meet demand that we need to see). It does seem to be a Cuba being Cuba thing to run out of boxes when they can’t come close to meeting demand and will sellout even with two massive price increases in a short time. But I digress

Thanks for sharing the news.
Downloaded a few episodes for a long plane ride at the end of the month.

Great episode!  Thanks boys!  You've got another listener.

Thanks @El Presidente for joining too.  Some fantastic conversation about the Habanos market.

I've been going through some older episodes.  It hadn't occurred to me to have a shower scotch, but I had my first yesterday after listening to the tip.  I forget to whom I should give credit for that discovery, but regardless... 🥂

P. S. You guys talk a lot about the Padron 80th.  Which one did you smoke?  Would love to try it.
