Cigars I should be loving....but for one reason or another have just disappointed.

Box of H Upmann Connoisseur A from 2015.  Cigars are gorgeous.  Unfortunately, I believe the the wrappers have been treated with some type of asbestos coating which has rendered them practically fireproof.

Punch Punch AT ( either 19 or 20 - can’t remember) box of 10. Started out ok, but just went south from there. Very bland and flat tasting. Two left somewhere hiding out in the humi still. We’ll see but I  doubt it.

I appreciate the offer but if you love the Monte 2 then please enjoy them! Maybe just bad luck of the draw on my part - I've smoked out of 3 different boxes and have one left, thus it's certainly possible with the relatively small sample size. But I traded some of them and the recipients were very happy, so who knows. I'll give another one a try sometime soon and report back. I must say I've been perplexed by my reaction too since I love Montecristo and the No.2 is considered by many to be the archetypal Monte.

Maybe bad luck? I have a 5x5 UGR MAR 2021, smoked two so far and they were perfect. Can say that was hand to hand from a 2016 box that I've finished last year.
