El Presidente Posted November 5, 2022 Posted November 5, 2022 I am here watching the Wallabies V France rugby test ( I suspect we will be done by 30) with a 82000 at the Stade de France. The rendition of La Marseillaise is always stirring. It is on my bucket list to do the rugby world cup in Europe with Di. Is there a sporting (or other) event that is on your bucket list? 2
KFBR392 Posted November 5, 2022 Posted November 5, 2022 The Masters! Tickets are just so outrageous now that to bring two people to a single day is about $2500 on the secondary market and it’s near impossible to get tickets through the lottery. 2
JohnnyO Posted November 5, 2022 Posted November 5, 2022 World Cup 2026 in the US and Canada. I saw it in the US in 94 but this time it will be with my kids. They got up 6am for the 2018 early matches, didn't miss one match. The Canada trip will make it even more memorable. John 4

Good luck on tickets. You almost have to “know a guy” to get them. Normal Washington Road travel from end to end is 15 minutes. Master’s week is 2 hours. Maybe. 😂 House rents are great tho. 😁 8-9k for a 3 bedroom for a week. 👍🏻 Oh, they also bring in pretty strippers for the week. The kind that do coke. The meth heads get the week off. 😂 1 2
KCCubano Posted November 5, 2022 Posted November 5, 2022 Been to WS games but would like to do Final 4 someday.
Cayman17 Posted November 5, 2022 Posted November 5, 2022 I saw a NLDS finals game in the 90s when the Pirates were good (Doug Drabek, Barry Bonds). I’d love to take my boys to a baseball game like that one day. The atmosphere is electric.

Is there a sporting (or other) event that is on your bucket list? well they got 30. most fun sporting event i have ever been to was wallabies v france at the old parc de princes. especially as they delayed the game by four hours so 60,000 people had an extra four hours in the pubs. not sure we'll see that sort of atmosphere again. done a world cup semi - where we thumped the kiwis and a world cup final where we gave it away to the poms - thank you jellyboots rogers. but i suspect that those games now beyond me financially. a soccer world cup final would be good but fat chance. love to see a superbowl with the washington whatever winning but i've more chance of seeing a real life quidditch match. done winning ashes games and also when we won the bledisloe, and the reds winning the super rugby. honestly, not sure there are many more i'd be that keen to see. these days, happy to enjoy them on tv with a cigar. 2
Popular Post Low Posted November 5, 2022 Popular Post Posted November 5, 2022 I'm trying to get into the grandstands of hole 16 of the Waste Management Open. 5
Chibearsv Posted November 6, 2022 Posted November 6, 2022 I’m right now sitting outside my hotel after a fantastic Breeders Cup weekend in Keeneland with an equally amazing Sig V. Any horse racing fan should have Breeders Cup on their bucket list. Incredible lineup of some of the best horses in the world for 14 races over 2 days. Every horse looked incredible. People watching was brilliant too. Masters Tournament or Pebble Beach Pro Am would be the bucket list for me. 3
westg Posted November 6, 2022 Posted November 6, 2022 Would love to see a cricket test match in the Caribbean , Australia v West Indies. I ran with the bulls in pamplona and went to a bull fight which was one hell of an experience 3
Popular Post cgoodrich Posted November 6, 2022 Popular Post Posted November 6, 2022 My brother and I had a Formula 1 race and Indy 500 on our bucket list when we were much younger. We managed to go see the 1995 Belgian Grand Prix when the Great Michael Schumacher won from 16th on the grid. It was unbelievable, such an adventure for 2 young men from Idaho. We kept talking about going to the 500 but let life get in the way. Sadly my brother passed away suddenly in 2017 without seeing the 500. Don’t put off that dream, you don’t know what tomorrow will bring. In the end it’s only money that you can’t take with you, but the memory will always be with you. I still have such fond memories of that time in Belgium with my only brother. So thankful we did go. 5
Edicion Posted November 6, 2022 Posted November 6, 2022 I am huge fan of MMA and have watching a UFC event in Madison Square Garden on my bucket list. 2
ayedfy Posted November 6, 2022 Posted November 6, 2022 Sadly had to sell my RWC tickets for France next year, although European rugby is definitely on the bucket list - hopefully I'll do a Wallabies spring tour one year. The RWC in Japan 2019 was a good bucket list experience. Other dream sporting events for the list: if Brisbane makes another AFL GF I'll kill to get to the MCG. Would love to experience a grand prix weekend in Monaco. Also I've been to State of Origin but never one at Lang Park which is a must one day.

Would love to experience a grand prix weekend in Monaco. Also I've been to State of Origin but never one at Lang Park which is a must one day. i had invites to all three lions grand final wins (and the one they eventually lost) and did not get there once. couldn't make the first and then i thought i'd jinx it if i went (yes, strange logic, but eventually it would have come true). i've been to quite a lot of origins and it is an astounding experience. the noise! especially at lang park - all the ones i have been to down south, we won, so the noise was not quite so impressive. more grumbling. but without question, the highlight was the very first one at lang park when big Artie led them out. still get chills. what a game. the other that sticks with me was about a decade ago when cronk kicked that long range field goal at the death to win the series (he was about 8 yards from us when he hit it). one of my best mates was brother to the team doctor and got us seats front row on half way. you felt part of it. the endless noise. lockyer and johns had their sideline commentary seats about three yards in front of us. another mate of mine was fordo, johns manager (among many others - and very much missed. fordo told me once that, as they walked away from the rugby world cup in 03 which they went to together, johns said how mucch he regretted not code hopping to give rugby a go). fordo was always up for the game and as blue as they come. he had seats about 6 rows behind us this time. in the rare moments when the noise died down to inside an aircraft engine level, we'd scream out, 'hey joey, fordo says you are s**t'. he'd spin around, but by this stage we'd be looking at the action pretending complete ignorance (yes, easy to do). johns would glare at the crowd trying to work out who it was and then glare at poor fordo who had no idea what was happening. told fordo after the game. at least he thought it was funny. never seen the need to grow up. origin at lang park is a must. 2

My one Origin experience was here at Adelaide Oval, in the middle of Covid restrictions, in November. All prime conditions for one of the flattest atmospheres ever, but I still had fun watching Bennett’s “worst QLD side in history” get the job done. But still need to get along to Lang Park, that would have been unreal for Cronk’s dropgoal. Imagine those who went this year experienced a similar euphoria from Hunt’s intercept in the dying minutes.
BettyHumpder Posted November 6, 2022 Posted November 6, 2022 the only one that will ever matter: stanley cup final game 7 victory on home ice for my minnesota wild.
M1B Posted November 6, 2022 Posted November 6, 2022 There are two for me: going to a Michigan football game at The Big House and going to a World Cup game in 2026. Strangely, living in Atlanta means going to the World Cup is more attainable for me than going to a college football game. Sent from my SM-G996U1 using Tapatalk
BrightonCorgi Posted November 6, 2022 Posted November 6, 2022 Goodwood Festival of Speed, Paris or Farnborough International Airshow, and the Mexican F1 Grand Prix are all on the top of my list.
El Hoze Posted November 6, 2022 Posted November 6, 2022 Man, my list is still long. I love the experience of going to big sporting events and new stadiums. I’ve been lucky to get to go to alot of good ones. The one that has eluded me is a Premier League game. I know little about football/soccer but I watch games on TV and would love to attend one live. I am in London quite a bit and it always seems the schedule never works out. One day I’ll make it happen. A few college football stadiums/games I’d like to attend too. Nebraska and Notre Dame come to mind, have hit a few good ones already. And Packers/Lambeau. A good British Open would be another. Have done the Masters. 2
Ites Posted November 6, 2022 Posted November 6, 2022 As a European that played baseball growing up, traveling across the pond and seeing a live game has been on the list for many years. Oh and summer xgames of course
Ford2112 Posted November 6, 2022 Posted November 6, 2022 Mine is the Brazilian women's volleyball beach championships. 3
