Popular Post hrs1 Posted October 15, 2022 Popular Post Posted October 15, 2022 Crazy week. Oldest son gets sick. The wife and nanny fall next. Then the youngest gets really sick. I managed to escape unscathed (🤞), leaving me to tend to everyone on the home front. On the work front, the typical 4Q crunch is cranked up a notch or two amidst the deteriorating economic climate. In other news, conflicts are escalating across the globe. Cigarmageddon limps on. Even the weather turned gloomy with dark skies and rain for the last few days. Nothing like extreme sleep deprivation and external stressors to put you in the right frame of mind 😂 Seeking some solace, I put my youngest down for a nap and search for a PSdP. I love these smokes. I wish they came in 50 cabs. They're consistently low 90s with the occasional 95er thrown in for good measure. They can look motley, but this smoke comes from a PSP box from our gracious host with lovely reddish brown wrappers. One way or another, this darkness gots to give. It has a sweet, earthy smell. Get a perfect draw after a quick punch. It's got that Punchy nuttiness with hints of sweet butterscotch. Think this will do the trick. Grab an iced coffee, sneak outside and take some cover from the rain. Light her up. Sweet relief! Nuttiness, a bit of bread and faint butterscotch with a bit of pepper on the finish. Medium / medium light body and flavor. Almost on cue, the kiddo wakes back up shortly after going down. A little TLC does the trick. He's down and we're back in action. Relight and she starts right back up where we left off. The burn is a bit wonky, which I’m chalking up to a combination of rainy weather and thick wrapper. The notes remain the same with Punchy nuttiness and butterscotch at the core. Smoke is thick and super smooth. 'Tis a tasty little bugger. 2nd third. Body and flavor up to medium. She's settled into Punchy nuts on the draw, sweet butterscotch on the retro and bit of bread on the finish. Elegant simplicity. Ash drops about halfway. Touch up the burn. She's picked up to medium plus body and richness. The sweet notes are fading and the breadiness is taking over. The finish has a bit of chili and is super slick. Final third. Rain's stopped. Sun is coming out. The nuts and sweetness are gone. But, the toasty bread and chili are perfect on a damp fall day. It's nub worthy, but the sweet sounds of a happy infant waking up signal the end. What a difference a cigar makes Nothing like an hour long, 92/93 point smoke to put you in the right headspace. It's sunny. Michigan is coming out strong against Penn State. Things are looking up 🌞 14 1
Capn_Jackson Posted October 16, 2022 Posted October 16, 2022 Awesome! Along with JL1, one of my favorites. I wish they came in 50’s too. 1
