Gorgeous box, I must say. Interesting color scheme for LGC. 

I would expect pricing to be in line with the JL Seleccion Especial.

Beautiful presentation and a lovely size. The big question is: will they show true LGC character in the blend? Some of the special editions seem to me to have little or nothing to do with the core marca characteristics.

What we all want I’m sure is a re-release of the no.2. Or a larger version of the no.4. Just imagine how a Laguito no.1 would go down in the MdO#4 blend!

Beautiful. I wonder if Nelson Alfonso designed that box? He did the boxes for special editions and my new collection addition adds, Atabey.

 

Nelson Alfonso is the creative director for the Golden Age design firm which has handled the branding for Habanos, S.A. cigars. In addition, he was the designer behind Padron’s 50th Anniversary humidor. Alfonso is also a gifted cigar blender and founder of Atabey Cigars. 

One other thing, what do you think when you see a fiver or a single for sale or trade from a box like this? Heart breaking or opportunity?

The MdO#1's were pretty much a laguito, or close enough. Great cigars.

I'd be interested in these if not for the upcoming Turquinos. Those should satisfy my LGC craving for about 1/3 the price of these Glorias. 

There are several upcoming releases that might make their way into my rotation: Turquinos, RA No. 3, RG Coronas de Lonsdales, Monte Wide Edmundos.

Sorry for being the one pooping the party, and am aware I am repeating myself. But the policy of putting out polished specials, while not having one single regular on offer, let alone a decent range of regular production, I call hoodwinking smokers. As a long-standing lover of LGC I constantly feel they’re taking the piss out of me... !

All the effort put in that packaging..., man! Nice! Perhaps even beautiful. But if I want a humidor I’ll buy a humidor! I don’t need a big bling box consuming space and rolling around empty when I am done with my twenty sticks. Much less, paying extra for it. Don’t get me wrong, if one loves a shiny product give them their ‘caja de lujo’. I am guilty of being a buyer myself on occasion. But - pleeease - also give me (back) my simple box and cigars! Give me a choice! I want to just smoke those damn things and not get a boner looking at them. Not always 😅

Factoring in early-bird tax and B&M markup, and assuming they someday appear in volume, which seems to be a pretty big assumption at the moment, I'd guess eventual worldwide price maybe $850.
