Yes. Plus, since the original post, there have been so many new features added to the iPhone camera. It's hard to believe how far it has come in just 2 years.

really useful thread. 

i do need to upgrade - my phone camera will only take shots on X2, not on normal - i assume i dropped it on the wrong part some time. and some shots are blurry, others fine. no way to tell upfront.

a mate of mine from Europe who was a professional photographer for several decades - his job was literally to travel the world photographing supermodels - has also done a great deal of wine photography. vineyards, wineries, all manner of stuff. i was talking with him about one incredible shot that was on the cover of an international mag - this was about 10-12 years ago at least. told me he took it on his phone. even back then, they could do wonders.

Those so called blurry pictures look pretty good through my eyes. I can relate to them.
