El Presidente Posted September 25, 2022 Posted September 25, 2022 San Cristobal La Punta Often described as "dessert in a cigar", the La Punta is a loved by most but only sells in moderate numbers. I rarely come across cigar lovers who have the La Punta in their regular rotation. The quintessential "change of pace" cigar? Lets discuss! jakebarnes Posted September 25, 2022 Posted September 25, 2022 Yes. I get these. Please stop putting them on 2424 when I am not paying attention 😁 1 1
Edicion Posted September 26, 2022 Posted September 26, 2022 It's a lovely, mild but flavorful cigar. I usually get Christmas feeling & aromas from them, and I find it best paired with a prosecco. Admittedly in the Belicosos lineup I would go for the BFF, R&J, or SP more often though. Christmas once a year is enough.. 1
NSXCIGAR Posted September 26, 2022 Posted September 26, 2022 The "easy listening" station of San Cristobal. Never a rough edge. Light to under medium. If you really like San Cristobal this could only be an early day smoke. Always pleasant but just doesn't have the character the other models do. It's never been rich enough for me. I wish these had the Prado blend. 4

Tstew75 Posted September 26, 2022 Posted September 26, 2022 I'm always underwhelmed with Punta, can do without completely. 1
GVan Posted September 26, 2022 Posted September 26, 2022 One of my "special cigars"and generally like all of the SCdlH offerings. Was lucky enough to buy 4 boxes of the FOH PSP RAT MAY-20 that are already smoking spectacularly. Followed that up with two more boxes of RAT MAY-21 just for fun from somewhere else. I'll be into these for a while - I checked 1 to 3 years because the 2020's are already good - but I expect to let these get out to 5+ years (if I don't smoke them all too fast). These are just smooth and rich tasting cigars. 2
LizardGizmo Posted September 27, 2022 Posted September 27, 2022 One of the most consistent disappointing cigars I've had from the reg. prod. Habanos offering. When I think of the cigar I think "yuck". 1

SmokyFontaine Posted September 27, 2022 Posted September 27, 2022 I get strong notes of brown paper bag. Have tried two from a young box, but it seems so light that i worry age will take them to old, brown paper bag.
mprach024 Posted September 27, 2022 Posted September 27, 2022 This one doesn’t make my lineup. Not offensive or anything just not very interesting to me. By far my least fav belicoso or pyramid.
RDB Posted September 29, 2022 Posted September 29, 2022 I must have a weird 2017 box: they are super strong and still need years. Or maybe they are actually BBFs?
MagicalBikeRide Posted August 21, 2023 Posted August 21, 2023 Not one I’ve ever enjoyed. Find myself reaching for HU2, M2 or Dip2 in its place. Enjoyed the smaller LCDH vitola, but that seems a different blend completely.
