El Presidente Posted August 31, 2022 Posted August 31, 2022 San Cristobal La Fuerza San Cristobal La Fuerza to me is the definition of dessert in a cigar. Such a beatuifully nuanced cigar. Change of pace cigar. If Padron made a Cuban cigar.....this is how I envision them San Cristobal La Fuerza Do you like the San Cristobal La Fuerza Where does it stand compared to other similar cigars. Have you noticed a blend/flavour/body change over the years? If so, approximately when? How long does it take you to smoke a San Cristobal La Fuerza ? Discuss and do the poll! Chas.Alpha Posted September 1, 2022 Posted September 1, 2022 I have only had the one that my FOH @Chibearsv gave to me. It was stunning! Desert is an apt description. Not overly sweet, just delicious. @Elpresidente if you put these up tonight, knowing full well that I have to save all of my coins for next weekend's move to North Carolina, you will NOT be my friend anymore... 😳😔 If Rob would be so insensitive to do so, grab 'em! Great sticks!!! 3
Chibearsv Posted September 1, 2022 Posted September 1, 2022 One of my favorites. Sweet, rich, luscious, and chewy. I’ve never had one disappoint. 1
Popular Post NSXCIGAR Posted September 1, 2022 Popular Post Posted September 1, 2022 Great cigar. Everything that the brand has in perfect balance. Sweet, molasses, maple syrup, cream, coffee cake, bready. Not as sweet as the El Principe. More balanced. And not as strong as the Prado. When they're rich they can put up some high scores. Had plenty of 94-95s. The average ones are 92s all day long. Sometimes they can be lighter although nowhere near as light as the La Punta. I don't recall them being as good as they've been before 17-18. For some reason I never smoked a lot of them. I haven't had any vintage examples and I have no idea how these 17s + will age. All I know is the best ones I've had were between 2-4 years old. 3 2
bmac Posted September 1, 2022 Posted September 1, 2022 Wrapper makes all the difference with LF.One of my favorites especially when they were $200 per box.😀
RDB Posted September 1, 2022 Posted September 1, 2022 A great change of pace cigar. Maybe one of the sweetest, richest flavoured Cubans to me? I definitely want a box on the go, but they are not a staple.
SingleBarrel Posted September 1, 2022 Posted September 1, 2022 Have a 2020 box from Diana. Literally like smoking a chocolate cake!
mprach024 Posted September 1, 2022 Posted September 1, 2022 There should be an option of “I get it, I get why others like it, but for some reason I don’t”
KCCubano Posted September 1, 2022 Posted September 1, 2022 I like them but have never been a must have staple in my monthly rotation. Easier pill to swallow when readily available sub $200 yrs ago. I prefer Principe
Fugu Posted September 1, 2022 Posted September 1, 2022 The fact that this one and the Punch DC are pinned topics while the RG Perlas is not @El Presidente, is that in any way telling about personal preferences?! 😂 1
dshot Posted September 1, 2022 Posted September 1, 2022 Effortless desert stick. Out of the three regular production vitolas I've smoked the El Principe, La Punta. I liked this one the best. When it's on it's a great experience. 1
karp Posted September 2, 2022 Posted September 2, 2022 This is a great cigar - very nice change of pace with great cedar-sweet pancake and molasses flavours. The Principe is not as good in my experience, but similar. Both are different than other Cubans imho. Vitola is pretty good too, a slightly longer robusto rather than a mouth cannon.
Sir Diggamus Posted September 2, 2022 Posted September 2, 2022 I love this cigar. It is one of those that every time I have one I kick myself for not having a box on hand. I get rich notes of coffee, molasses, and earth packed in there. I like @Chibearsv description of "chewy", I think it fits that very well. 1 1
Fugu Posted September 3, 2022 Posted September 3, 2022 Agree with all that has been said above. A unique blend and a truly “hedonistic” cigar. Only topped by the Torreón, and some special releases. 1
sw15825 Posted September 3, 2022 Posted September 3, 2022 Burned through entire boxes of 16's and early 17's. I couldn't not reach for them by the 4 year mark. Box of 20's I have managed to keep intact and will try to wait til the 3 year mark. One of my faves along with the principie. All made in one factory. Go figure...
