Popular Post PigFish Posted August 17, 2022 Popular Post Posted August 17, 2022 What sad news. Trying to remember my first contact with Nino… It could have been at the CA forum… Damn… Someone above said ‘icon.’ I think that is pretty much spot on. I am beginning to know more people on the other side, than I know on this side!!! And that is scary! What is life without a fun anecdote??? Nino was on a forum that I administrated for a very long time. Once I edited one of his posts. I don’t think he talked to me for a year!!! -LOL Some people take there cigars very seriously! RIP my friend. I will miss your travels, cigar notes and shared experiences from abroad. I could always expect one like on my anti-communist posts. It was always Nino! -Ray 11
jfields Posted August 17, 2022 Posted August 17, 2022 What a great person! Just like a lot of people these days, I never met Nino in person. I started buying cigars from him about five or six years ago. He was always a pleasure to deal with, and his personality definitely came through the keyboard. He was always happy to teach and answer questions. Can't think of one unkind word to say about the man. Was really sad to hear of his passing. I suspected something serious was going on with him as he alluded to health issues in our conversations, but I didn't want to pry. I just had hoped it wouldn't end like this. 3
kmax Posted August 18, 2022 Posted August 18, 2022 Wow sorry to hear. Never met him but I enjoyed following him on social media. Condolences to his family and may he RIH. 1
