Popular Post RDB
What are these, 50rg x 5 1/2’? That’s only 5/8ths of an inch longer than a standard robusto, but somehow seems a lot bigger overall. I would happily have 50rg as the limit for all cigars! This example is from the back half of a great looking PSP box. They were quite dark and mottled to start with, but have now settled in appearance. It’s a very rich smoke: sweet, more panettone than Christmas cake, medium bodied and lush. Touch of sweet liqueur, maybe amaretto. Not a great deal of transition, but the core flavour is very attractive. There’s a little undertow of barnyard to keep things interesting, but overall it’s quite a clean smoke. Burn was ok - I was smoking a bit quick and it needed some maintenance to keep regular. This is really in the zone now, the box may develop more refinement but I suspect at the expense of the sweetness. So if you have these, do check in. Score a solid 1 on the binary scale (1/0).
