Anyone catch what he was smoking after winning the NBA finals? Looked like an LE band but can’t tell if it’s RJ? HDM? His friend seems to always supply him with these cigars. I haven’t been keeping up with LEs but it looked pretty good and liked the size/gauge.

It figures the people who must offer opinions on everything would jump to the "it's a fake" conclusion from looking at one single blurry frame. It's clearly a Hoyo DC GR, with the correct band

I mean, he lit it up after the trophy presentation was over.  He was smoking it during the sit-down post game interview on the court on ESPN. What is with you people?  Why is it so necessary to d

Lol yep. In this one very specific way, you are probably superior to 4 time champion and best shooter in the entire history of the NBA, Steph Curry. I doff my cap, sir!

The guy likely wouldn't know his arse from a hole in the ground concerning "real" Cuban cigars. He prolly was just happy to have a celebratory cigar in mouth, even though it was rolled by Jose Jimenez in a back alley on the hood of a broken down Lada!

He has been seen smoking Behike 54 in the past. MJ certainly knows his Cubans. When I was in Chicago back in 90s he would smoke a DC on his drive in for home games. Think some Hoyo and Lusi.

He's been quoted as saying Lusis are his favorite cigar. You are correct in saying he knows his Cubans.

His dad looked to be holding a HDM DC but I couldn't be sure.

I thought his pops had a GR. Steph seems to be a cigar guy. With his budget he can get pretty much whatever he wants, I have a feeling they were legit GR's.

Check out The Last Dance on Netflix - if you haven’t already.  Great documentary.  MJ has a cigar stapled to his lip throughout the documentary.

Awesome.  I’ve watched a few times as well.

Would be interesting to see if MJs leadership style would yield the same success with today’s NBA.  His mindset is really rare.

I believe he had total editorial control.  As I’m sure you recall, at one point, Will Perdue calls him an “asshole”.   I love that MJ saw that and thought to himself, “yeah, go ahead… you can put that in.”

Looks like a Hoyo standard band E with a Reserva/Gran Reserva band. No such cigar. Fake!

I'm not sure.

It could be an RyJ standard band + Reserva/Gran Reserva band. No such cigar. Fake!

The size looks off, but the bands could be RyJ Gran Reserva Wide Churchill 2009 without the Wide Churchill band.

Or he knows a cigar guy that just gives him or procures top shelf items. Then he says, yeah, I really like Behike and Hoyo GR and Esplendidos which of course no one can argue with. Someone can easily appear to know CCs by being given top shelf cigars regularly.

Bet he couldn't name more than 3 Cuban brands.

If I had an endless supply of all three sticks you mentioned I most likely wouldnt care about any other brands.

Definitely not a Montesco and as you point out the gold WC band is missing.

I have run into MJ a few times as a family friend knows him pretty well through a golf club they both play at. He always has a lit cigar every time I have seen him. I never had the nerve to mention it…you meet Michael Jordan you try to act normal, smile, and let the guy go about his business. He, in my brief interactions, is an almost unbelievably nice and personable guy.
