It figures the people who must offer opinions on everything would jump to the "it's a fake" conclusion from looking at one single blurry frame. It's clearly a Hoyo DC GR, with the correct band

Lol yep. In this one very specific way, you are probably superior to 4 time champion and best shooter in the entire history of the NBA, Steph Curry. I doff my cap, sir!

I have run into MJ a few times as a family friend knows him pretty well through a golf club they both play at. He always has a lit cigar every time I have seen him. I never had the nerve to mention it…you meet Michael Jordan you try to act normal, smile, and let the guy go about his business. He, in my brief interactions, is an almost unbelievably nice and personable guy.

That’s awesome.  I’m a huge MJ fan.

I wonder, what if one wore a Yankees shirt to a Celtics game?

I am a Yankees fan and a Devils fan. Growing up the Whalers were my second team as we shared a few players. I always wear a hat if I can get away with it, I feel almost funny without it…typically a Yankees hat. Any time I am traveling north of about Fairfield County CT I typically swap to a Whalers hat. Seems the respectful compromise and gets me alot of thumbs up and no middle fingers. That is anywhere in New England mind you. At a Celts game I’d imagine wearing a Yankees hat would be a pretty unpleasant experience!!!! I saw a guy in a leather Dolphins jacket get carried out of a Jets game one time looking like he got into a fight with an angry Elk. Brutal! This one has been inside enemy lines many times!

Both the Dolphins and Jets suck ass so not wonder someone got their ass kicked.  Tua is better than Mahomes my corn hole...🙄

I am a Jets fan and I always considered Jets/Dolphins an odd rivalry. In fact, living in Miami for 10 years I actually wished they were better! Same with the Jets/Patriots “rivalry”…I always say for a Jets fan, beating th Pats every so often is our super bowl. Hard to call that a rivalry! That is just being us being bitter! lol

As a Chiefs fan who had season tickets for years I was shocked to hear Hill make comment that Tua more accurate than Mahomes. But then again look what else has come out of his pie hole!

For someone that appears to have a lot of respect around here.. this sure is a stupid thing to say. Why are you trying to denigrate someone just for smoking a cigar literally every person on this board would smoke in a heartbeat?

Just a question: how do you even know he smoked it? Regardless of what it may be? Any footage of him clipping the cap off and actually lighting it? Or perhaps he just wanted to be seen with a celebratory cigar in mouth at the time of victory and maybe it shortly after got tossed into a trash can. FWIW there are many "celebrities" that grace the cover of Cigar Aficionado magazine that literally do not even smoke cigars!

In June 2017 after beating Cleveland at the old Oracle Arena in SF he lit up a Behike 54 and was smoking it during interview after the game. Im guessing the Hoyo DC GR was smoked at some point.

What is with you people?  Why is it so necessary to declare this guy a cigar imbecile who is unknowingly smoking glass top Gran Reservas?

I don't give a rip about the NBA, his team, or this particular player, but I think it's wonderful that we see someone celebrating a moment like this in a way that folks on this board should appreciate.

People don’t like it when others are able to access the finest things in what they regard as “their world” without somehow being first able to demonstrate themselves as deserving experts/connoisseurs.  I think folks often forget that the only barrier to participation in a hobby like cigar smoking is money.

Who's declaring him anything? I'm not. I was cautioning those who anointed him an aficionado based solely on the fact that he's got a Hoyo GR and a BHK 54 in 2018 in his mouth and that he continued to smoke it for an hour after the game.

Apparently I have to say this but my first post calling it fake was a joke by the way. It looked like the other Hoyo band but not really clear enough to tell. It could have been a NC for all I knew.

Same with my post. Hence the :rotfl:

I was mainly surprised by how few Reserva/Gran Reserva vitolas there are in Hoyo and RyJ Marcas.

They're not the kind of cigars I know much about, and I just looked them up on CCW.

BROTHER! CIVIC CENTER ON ALUMINUM BENCHES! Nose bleeds for $10. Yes, I was there for the save the Whale campaign. We sold out the arena for two years and they still moved to NC. Salt on the wound when they won the cup.

Now I live in Denver and became an Avs fan. Lucky me now.

Also, not brother. Go Sox... Yankees are trash.
