I'm overwhelmed at how many people wished me a happy birthday today, including family, friends and work colleagues. I had a busy work day which was interspersed with the staff holding a lunch in honour of my 50th. For dinner my Mum made me moussaka, which is a Greek lasagne with eggplants and it's a dish I love! Then we had a few dear friends over to watch the annual Rugby League derby between New South Wales and Queensland. I served out some Charles Heidsieck and Pol Roger Champagne and gifted my guests some Sancho Panza Molinos, Trindad Topes 2016 LE and Montecristo Especial as a thanks for the generosity and thanks I've received over the years being a part of this wonderful community. I must also remember to acknowledge how generous my Dad has been this week for this event, as well as my sister for getting me a personally engraved Veuve Clicquot Champagne. Trevor Leask gifted me a Cohiba 35th Aniversario Gran Corona a few years ago and tonight was the special occasion to savour it. It certainly didn't disappoint after I spend around two-and-three quarter hours smoking it! Finally, thanks Rob and Diana for the personal birthday wishes, my Sydney Cigar mates Fuzz, Jase, Will, Steve, Kam et al and Luca and Carly for bringing the Rabbit Air purifying system which allowed us to smoke indoors in comfort. My final thanks must go to my wonderful wife, Eleni who spent the day setting up this party at home and who suggested we should smoke inside the bar room for this special occasion. Indeed, I am truly blessed! 18
