Don't know him but still hate it. I can only imagine the heartache after all that hard work. Damn.

This is Alejandro Gonzalez Arias who was a fairly famous house roller at Hotel Comodoro and has recently departed Cuba to try his hand in the US. He's started his own NC brand, and this lounge project was one of his big achievements out of the gate. Really sad news but I'm confident he'll persevere.

Sorry to see that happen to such a good guy. He will overcome this I’m sure.

Shame. Hopefully the insurance will at least come through without too much hassle.

Bummer. Hadn’t made it out to see him yet. We will be looking forward to the grand reopening.

Horrible news.  The fire was related to unexpected activity in the alleyway?  Very odd.  I hope his insurance comes through.  Fixing this will not be cheap.  :(

This was most likely the case. That area is crawling with zombies. I was there for the grand opening and was nearly attacked by a belligerent lunatic as soon as I stepped out to leave.
