Here in the UK,   an "everyday carry"   is Wallet-Keys-Phone.    If I didn't have a van full or tools always with me, I would be much more likely to opt for a plier based multitool.  Never really understood the need to carry something thats just a knife.

In these terms, for me it's either a Spyderco Delica or a Kershaw Leek, both well worn but functional, and a cheap but reliable torch lighter.

OP, if I had anything as nice as yours, I'd somehow end up ruining them within a day or two...it's a recurring theme in my life. 😂

Side note: I guess it's a function of my age and background, but "everyday carry," means something different to me than the knife and source of fire I keep in my pocket...I've yet to adjust to what it has come to mean.

Yea that’s my concern is some how ruining it or losing it but if it happens it happens I guess. Yea I want an everyday carry like the one your referring to. Wife just doesn’t approve of that everyday carry yet. Figured she puts up with my cigars so win some, lose some.

😂 Right there with you. The title of the  post had me thinking of another piece of my EDC that’s slightly bigger than a knife. 👍🏻

Cheap and sharp. This thing doesn't hold an edge for long but it sharpens easily. This is my current go to for cutting the cap off of cigars. Other than that It opens boxes and mail.

Love Hidalgos! If it’s blue 2 steel it can get very sharp but you’re correct, those steels aren’t very conducive to rough cut tasks.

Really?!? That’s crazy. I know we have laws here in the US on how large the blade can be to carry with you, but as long as the blade length is within the law you can’t get in trouble here.

My boss got me this for Christmas. Nice and light.

I have 2 different models from yours. Those can take a beating and still cut. Very nice gift. 👍🏻

Same here in Aus. You get caught with one of these you're in big doo-doo, unless it is strictly for your work, sport or recreation eg fishing (self-defence doesn't count). Even carrying a box cutter outside of your work can get you in trouble if you get stopped by the cops.

I usually carry a Swiss Army knife. But I lost the last two at the airport. Since I don't fly as much and tend to drive to the airport nowadays when I do, I'll probably get another one.

With all the venomous snakes and spiders crawling into bed with you guys down there you need a good ole fashioned flame thrower of some kind.  For one, with all sincerity my heart goes out those terribly effected by the flooding.  In 2008 our downtown flooded and the water was up the second floors in the houses within the 100 and 500 hundred year flood plain.  It took a long time for the city to recover from that event.  A year ago we were hit with a derecho that brought sustained winds that blew at 145 mph for 65 minutes and we lost something like 60 percent of our overhead canopy.  All that and I live in Iowa, about as geographically far as you can be from an ocean in the US of A.

Anyway, back to the snakes and spiders, y'all seriously need some flame throwers you can carry around and I am not talking about your cigar lighters :)  You ought to be able to get some sort of hazard laws past for you to be able to protect yourselves from the creepy crawlies that I only see in my dreams.
