El Presidente Posted April 7, 2022 Posted April 7, 2022 Stay dry Fuzz/JohnS/Jason/Luca/fella's and reach out if needed. Hard to believe that you have had your annual rainfall by the 7th of April. 2
El Presidente Posted April 7, 2022 Author Posted April 7, 2022 Life threatening rain bomb strikes Australia's east coast with flash flooding causing havoc and home evacuations across Sydney - as millions are urged to stay indoors amid severe weather warning 1 4
Fuzz Posted April 7, 2022 Posted April 7, 2022 Yep. It is crazy how much rain has fallen the first quarter. Nearly every single dam in the area is at 100%. With all this rain again, the snakes and spiders are on the move again, coming into homes. And a new blood sucker has arrived.... no, not another pollie, actual blood suckers... leeches. Apparently there has been a huge number of leeches in suburban areas. Parts of southern Sydney has been directed to evacuate due to the rain bomb.
Popular Post JohnS Posted April 7, 2022 Popular Post Posted April 7, 2022 Thank you Rob and Di! Yes, it's been quite wet over the last 5 weeks in Sydney. I think we've only had 5 days or so without any rain! In fact, I went to work the other day and I noticed something yellow in the sky surrounded by a blue background! 😂 6

Pray thee, what is this great ball of fire in the sky? It stabbeth mine eyes with its luminosity, but its caress is as gentle and warm as a lover's kiss." In other words.... the sun is out in Mount Druitt." 1

Oh God, you had to say leeches. 😳 Spiders and snakes I can deal with, but the blood sucking demons from hell terrify me...
Popular Post Hammer Smokin' Posted April 7, 2022 Popular Post Posted April 7, 2022 wish I could catch leeches locally on my property .... even better in my home. great bait for fishing. although because we are talking Australia I'm guessing your leeches are closer to the creatures from Tremors. 5
jay8354 Posted April 7, 2022 Posted April 7, 2022 When I was a wee lad and first migrated to Australia with my parents, I learned that this is a very dry place, not much rainfall and lots of drought. This held true for decades. This year, I am not sure I am in Australia anymore. It feels like there was no Summer to speak of, just spring to autumn going towards winter. It is like we went from a dry and hot place to an SE asian destination during monsoon but without the heat. All the worst parts.....

This is Australia, everything is out to get you if you are stupid enough to annoy them. That is the reason for the Aussie humour. 1
Duxnutz Posted April 8, 2022 Posted April 8, 2022 Hopefully there’s sunshine next week when I grace the place with my presence . 1
Bill Hayes Posted April 8, 2022 Posted April 8, 2022 It's quite bizarre. In Melbourne, we continue to get sunny days ATM. Probably swap over later in the year and we cop the rainfall in October/November which is expected. And then dry from mid January and February. But for now, I'm still sunning in the backyard. WTF! Stay safe guys and don't challenge the flood waters by driving through them. Too many stories ending in tragedy. Cheers. 2
