Popular Post Bijan Posted March 24, 2022 Popular Post Posted March 24, 2022 Depending on Australian trademark laws, you could always change your name to Robert Habanos, and continue with Friends of Habanos. I mean you could also change your name to Habanos Ayala, but then you'd be one Robert short for Bond Roberts 3 1 9

B44 Posted March 25, 2022 Posted March 25, 2022 Is this a good time to remind them that FOH is a US based business who doesn’t recognize their copyright? IANAL, but in theory you could sell the domain to someone in the US and simply use FOH.com with a redirect for purchases. I’m sure there’s a Bob A. in the US that is practically family or will be after a new found habit. I know none of that helps, but in either case, what a load of shit. You’d think they have bigger issues to worry about right now. 2
Popular Post coug28 Posted March 25, 2022 Popular Post Posted March 25, 2022 Friends of Hangovers (and tobacco) 2 3
mprach024 Posted March 25, 2022 Posted March 25, 2022 What about going back to the old Cigar Czar name I used to buy from? 4
Popular Post Shrimpchips Posted March 25, 2022 Popular Post Posted March 25, 2022 Take a page out of the Chinese counterfeiters book and rename the site “Friends of Hobanos” 3 4
Edicion Posted March 25, 2022 Posted March 25, 2022 Jeez don't they have something important to focus on. I would say UnfriendHabanos 3

jay8354 Posted March 25, 2022 Posted March 25, 2022 I still like Friends of Hajo or if you ever change your mind - Friends of Ayala! instead. 1
DixeyJ Posted March 25, 2022 Posted March 25, 2022 Great thread @El Presidente and sorry for all the bother! Good news you can keep FoH. I suppose if one had to change I'd keep a similar sentiment or swap out with synonyms: - Companions of Cubans (CoC, or Cocs as a description of a group of smokers) - Lovers of the Leaf - Pals of the Puro - Society of the Stogie I'm sure others can think of some other combinations 🙂 would also understand though if you wanted a complete rebrand 3 1
Popular Post JohnS Posted March 25, 2022 Popular Post Posted March 25, 2022 The world is suffering a myriad of problems right now (do I need to mention pandemics and unnecessary military conflicts?) and one gets a problem like this? As if Habanos S.A doesn't have its own problems to contend with? This whole saga provides a new definition for the term 'ludicrousness'. 9 1
RDB Posted March 25, 2022 Posted March 25, 2022 Take it as a compliment. They wouldn’t bother if FoH was not successful. As for the monkey, I’m still keeping an eye out for him, the poor sod. 2 1
