Diplomáticos have released so many good Robusto / Extra the last few years. They should put together their own regular production Robusto Extra / Toro sized line as Quai D'Orsay did.

Already seeing vendors carrying and shipping.

Nice. Hopefully they can hang on to a box until I get there.

Or they can keep pumping out 50 RG Dips prepaid by the distributor for twice the price.

This is the conundrum I think HSA faces with these low-profile brands. Introducing a Dip Edmundos or Gorditos, for example, would cannibalize the much more profitable ERs. HSA would prefer selling 100k sticks at $20 each instead of hoping they can sell 200k sticks at $10.

Same with SP, LGC and SLR.

RG is introducing a Hermosos No. 4 but RG is a brand with very limited appeal worldwide like QdO was before the revamp. ERs from either weren't particularly desirable, which is why RG is getting a bit of a revamp this year as well.

That makes sense I just think they released some very good cigars, and it's just a wish to have a regular Dip in production. I think they would be able to put it somewhere between QDO and Trinidad, with Cohiba on top, in terms of pricing. But what do I know, I am not working for their marketing department .

Good to hear about the RG - the RG 88 APAC regional got universal love from what I can tell. Been trying to get some for while.

Don't get me wrong, I would love some regular production additions for these brands. I'm just pointing out that HSA has boxed themselves in with their current marketing strategy. Seeing expansions of regular production lines has become increasingly unlikely.

I think the entire goal of the QdO revamp was to prep it for ER/EL and other special release formats (books, humis, jars). Same with RG. The brand wasn't up to snuff for premium-level marketing which is where the money is.

Dip has much more of a worldwide appeal already and they've had great success with prior Dip premium releases so shuffling leaf to more regular production makes less sense.

I threw in Sancho Panza but I think SP has more in common with RG than it does with Dip, LGC or SLR and could see a revamp and a new model at some point, although SP does have more appeal than RG, particularly in places like Spain and Switzerland.
