Czar Central Update

Just to let you know that Brisbane has had some serious flooding since Friday and much of the city/suburbs are locked off due to rising floodwaters. 

It shoud settle down over the next few days but as of today many of our team are isolated and unable to get to work.  While many can work from home, our logistics personnel need to get to the office to ship. I suspect shipping this week may be put back a few days. 

I will update the situation tomorrow. Thank you for your understanding.

Yes, unfortunately all of us in Houston know all too well what flooding is like.  Stay safe and dry FOH.

fortunately i have moved from the place next to the creek and am at higher ground. spoke to one of the old neighbours yesterday. next door flooded - it was a little lower than my place - and the area is suffering worse than in 08 or 10 or 11. hard to believe it is as bad as 10. terrifying. fingers crossed the new owners of my old place don't return to find nothing but rubble - was always scared that might happen in a big one. 

hopefully everyone else safe. brizzy has had a number of fatalities already but they tend to be people who went for a look where they shouldn't or did something silly.

i had a big champagne lunch i was due at saturday. caught the bus into town but could see paddocks filling up and creeks rising so as soon as i got there, apologised to the organisers and went straight home. had i not, i still would be cut off. 

we have bright sun at the moment - first ti in days - but they are saying that the tides will be higher tomorrow so there will still be flooding for a few days yet. 

mind you, i have already received a dozen messages from friends desperately concerned because the restaurant for thursday's lunch has been flooded. have we rebooked anywhere else? seriously, some people's priorities!!!
