Diplomaticos #2 RAT JUN 21
This is my second Dip 2 from the box received in Dec 21 from our awesome hosts. This one was even better than the first I had. 
 

Accompanied by a medium strength and juicy ale canned on site from a local brewery I picked up last week.
 

I dry boxed the cigar for 24 hours. When it was time to smoke I did a straight cut followed by a cold draw which was a bit too tight. Poked the head a couple times + a light drilling on the foot with the PerfecDraw and it was good to go. 
 

Lit with a single jet torch.  
 

1/3- Smooth. Salty wrapper with bell peppery and bready smoke. Best description is bell pepper on focaccia. Very comforting and filling. The burn is a little wonky probably because of the PerfecDraw being used ever so lightly on the foot. Volume of smoke is average and typical of piramides I’ve had.
 

2/3- The same as first third but slightly intensified. I’d describe the overall strength as medium-full flavor but medium intensity overall. More of a rounded umami flavor coming out. The burn has now totally evened out
 

3/3- Same flavor profile with some sharper black pepper and nicotine tingle and twang. The burn is still even and it was smoked down to the nub.
 

The Dip 2 I had before this (last month) I did enjoy but wasn’t sold on the cigar completely. Now I am and will pick up another box without hesitation.

When I first read there were bell pepper elements in this cigar I called BS.  They are there and they are so very unique and enjoyable.  Wonderful, unique cigar

Definitely there! About half the cigars I smoke though I don't pick up on the tasting notes said to be there. This one though I'm pleased to say I do. Partagas D series  is the same - 100% of the time I get what's expected.  Glad to hear you enjoy the Diplomaticos as well. I agree it's very unique and enjoyable!

Great review!  Recently smoked my first Dip 2 from the same box code & enjoyed it as well.  First third was almost like a buttery cake for me, then the bell peppers kicked in.   Super tasty.
