CCBB Posted February 10, 2022 Posted February 10, 2022 Anyone tried these? If so, would you recommend them?
El Presidente Posted February 11, 2022 Posted February 11, 2022 Thats too broad a question. Let us know what you are really enjoying now be it NC or CC. It will give us a better platform to work from 👍
Chas.Alpha Posted February 11, 2022 Posted February 11, 2022 Picked up a box of PL Pics a few years back. Best if consumed in the 1st 3 years IMHO... 1
Huckleberry Posted February 11, 2022 Posted February 11, 2022 Thanks for the 411 Chas. I was planning on resting mine for five years, and now come spring I get to tear into them and have a go
coug28 Posted February 11, 2022 Posted February 11, 2022 I’m of the opinion these have legs for 5-10+ years, and I didn’t love them young. Have a 2014 psp box that still has plenty left in the tank. YMMV 2
TobaccoRoad Posted February 11, 2022 Posted February 11, 2022 The PL Picadores are one of the reasons I smoke CC's today. A few years back I purchased a blind assortment of cigars from a veteran smoker on another cigar board. It was the only habano included in a very strong lineup of high end NC's. I realized it was a CC but didn't think much of it. I'd had CC's before and liked them but had never really considered buying them. Something clicked when I smoked this particular cigar. About half way through and I had decided to track down and buy a box. So it was my first box purchase and was my gateway into purchasing CC's. I've since found many habanos that I like better but I'll always have a soft spot for Picadores. In fact I have a box on the way now from a recent 24:24 purchase. I still have 2 squirreled away from that first box. I'll get around to smoking them one day. 2 1
NSXCIGAR Posted February 11, 2022 Posted February 11, 2022 Picadores are one of the most oddball cigars in the catalog. Nothing like the PC, MC or even the new Galanes. I find the Picadores light, under medium and having a kind of herbal characteristic. I don't think anyone could peg it as a PL blind. Personally, it's not for me. I wish the Picadores had been the Galanes. Would love that blend in Hermosos No. 4 25s. Not a huge fan of the 52 RG Galanes in 10s only. 1 1
Puros Y Vino Posted February 11, 2022 Posted February 11, 2022 I'm a fan of the Picadores. Yes, they are a deviation from the regular PL profile but they stand alone quite well. Great cigars for the price. 1 1
cigaraholic Posted February 11, 2022 Posted February 11, 2022 I’ve never meet a PL I didn’t like....smoking a fantastic box right now EOT DIC15 that Rob picked out. As with all CC’s these days it just depends on the box you get. 1

There's still a sweetness, but the bulk of the caramel/brulee has been replaced with grassyness and a little lemon zest. Cheers 1 1
RDB Posted February 13, 2022 Posted February 13, 2022 I like em, even though they are odd for the marca. Kind of like a less bready, more vegetal Partagas to me. 1
