Davidoff Winston Churchill 2022

Has anyone sprung for one of these boxes? I was considering it ,as it's so well presented. But at 34 bucks a stick,I'm on the fence, Curious what thoughts were on it. I really like the look of the box.

Have not bought a box.  Did try 2 singles of the '21 in the Toro size.  Construction was good, but the flavour was boring -- to me.  Struck me that the blend was aimed at achieving "smooooth", which it did, but not interesting flavour.  Just my tastes.  Your experience may differ of course.

 

Correction:  @Ford2112I apologize.  I didn't realize this was a new LE release -- I haven't been following NCs.  Thought you were asking about the regular Winston Churchill line.  My bad.

Davidoff LE’s are very hit and miss - I considered a box too because it’s so rare for Davidoff to make an LE under 50rg these days. But while the Churchill line isn’t bad I’m not a huge fan. No idea if this is intended to have a similar blend. If I find a single somewhere I’ll probably pick one up. I would look around for reviews, I’m sure there are at least one or two online by now.

And if the box is what you dig then go for it! It just so happens that my favorite Davidoff LE, the Art Edition 2014, had the nicest box I’ve ever purchased.

Had one yesterday, the first half was very floral, nutty and creamy. But that being said, the smoke production is very small. The second half smoke production went up, but the flavor was not very impressive, still majorly floral, but a lot of noise kicked in, indicating more time down needed.

Overall it is not a bad LE from Davidoff. If you love the box, buying one is not a bad option. Give them some serious time down probably will perform better. The Winston Churchill LE from 2021 is now very tasty after a year down.
