A few years back I was in a bodega late at night looking for a six pack.  This shady looking guy walks in wearing a hoody, pants sagging down and stands right next to me.  He keeps on switching from looking at me maliciously, up and down, and back at the frig, also maliciously.  All I am thinking is "am I about to get in a fight with this guy?"

He then grabs four Colt 45s, looks at me and joyfully says, "man if you ever want to get some ladies fuuuuucked up, just give em one of these."

And that was the last time I thought about malt liquor.

Right next to my '61 Cheval Blanc, I have one left in my wine cellar I've been saving for a special occasion. I've been offered several hundred dollars for this but I can't let it go. I have to drink it, hopefully at a massive herf with some other aficionados. You have never experienced terroir like this before, trust me. It was a sad day when this was pulled from the market. Great times, good hazy memories!

You have exceptional Taste. Watermelon was the best Flavor!

I was always a Mickeys guy back in the day, 40s and big mouths too.

Can't wait to see connoisseur @Ken Gargett notes from his past 40oz tastings. I imagine he may have even done some banger verticals of Olde English 😂

the only 40 oz bottling we had here was the old 40 oz  bundy rum. no idea if they still even make them, though i suspect they might. very popular with students.

several hundred for a 61 Cheval!!!!! DO NOT. it is one of the great bordeaux. a famous wine. best price around the world these days is about $4K. if well cellared, it should be a life changing experience. someone offers you five or six thou, if you could do with the dosh, perhaps. otherwise, enjoy it. find some friends with great cellars and put on an amazing dinner. they need to bring something equivalent. a few hundred is someone ripping you off massively and they know it.

I can’t quote all the funny stuff in this thread. I have done Edward 40 hands thank goodness I deleted my Facebook long ago. One of my good friends spent a night in county on his bday bc of the original 4 locos. We got two cases for him right when they got discontinued. Good times and good thing those days are over.

He meant the 4 Loko. 🤣 And I'm sure he wasn't kidding. If a product starts killing people and gets pulled from the market, people cant get enough of it.

OE if we are talking malt.  Miller High Life, champagne of beers, if we are talking beer 40s.  I drank a totally warm Ole Milwaukee 40 in my youth and I couldn’t bodily function right for days.  Never again

4 Lokos are still available. They just do not have the caffeine content anymore. This was removed around 2010ish. The 4 Lokos of today still are 12% in a big ass can for nearly very little money. Far more potent than a 40. I imagine they still taste like battery acid.
