Popular Post sho671 Posted February 6, 2022 Popular Post Posted February 6, 2022 I picked up this box of 10 while in Havana in August 2019 right around when I started to get into cigars. I remembered reading that older box dates were for the most part desirable and figured I hit the jackpot. They've been sitting at around 65/65 since and I finally decided to try one yesterday morning. The draw was great and the burn line was pretty straight, but I did have a couple relights around the middle of the cigar. Flavor-wise I picked up a creaminess and floral notes, though they were very subtle. The cigar was very very mild and I'm thinking that I may have waited too long to smoke them. I'll try a couple more from the box to see how the rest smoke but may end up getting rid of the rest if they are all as mild as this one. 2/5 5

It is always in the title of the post My apologies... I don't find them to become more mild at that point. My thoughts are that the body or mild nature of these cigars doesn't transition much with age. While young they just aren't as refined, and the complexity or nuances are all over the place, more schizoprhenic if you will. Kind of like a grade school orchestra versus the real professional orchestra, the instruments present are the same, one of those groups is just way more refined in its performance--if that makes sense. They are honestly one of my favorite cigars, and one that almost has an underground following, like in my opinion they are too good to not be talked about more.
