Edicion Posted February 7, 2022 Posted February 7, 2022 Sorry to hear and hope you can save most of the other cigars. The only positive thing about this disaster is that it was a good reminder to everyone to go and take a look at our setups to ensure nothing serious is going on.

Good to see you post. Hope you and the family are well. Saw you called. Been traveling and left my personal phone at home (business travel). Lets set aside a little time to talk. Miss our chats! Now back to the salt-mine for me! -Ray 3
canadianbeaver Posted February 10, 2022 Posted February 10, 2022 Happened a couple of years back in one of six wine fridges in my cave/studio. And it was the one for Cohiba and Monte’s. Damn! The boxes in the back looked like the ones in the OP. However, saving any cigars like 520’s, CoRo’s, CoSigs of various kinds and putting them in safe boxes and places was ok. Dumping anything with mold plus scrubbing the fridge with practically bleach shite and airing it out has returned it to virgin status as far as we know. A year later we are still enjoying the rescued sticks. CB
Islandboy Posted February 10, 2022 Posted February 10, 2022 For all of you out there who are now going to unplug your wineador, I recommend you seal it up. In order for the cooling system to operate, there are several openings in the case to accommodate such things as a condensate drainage tube, electrical wiring, a fan, etc. In fact, I believe it’s these small openings letting outside air in that contribute to the sudden spikes in interior condensate when the unit is running. I just cut all of the dangly bits off that were going through the case, and used aluminum HVAC tape on the interior to completely seal off any openings. It’s the only way to achieve RH stability.
Meesterjojo Posted February 12, 2022 Posted February 12, 2022 That needs a NSFW tag. Ooof I'm sorry, man.
